A few weeks had passed since the event with Susanoo and now Brice and Tyrone can see and hear the gods too. So although we are more involved than ever we made a pact to never speak of it again, and pretend it's not real. Soon the weeks became months and still peace lingered upon us.

-Maybe everything will be alright.-I said out loud, in front of my two good friends, and the newest addition to our group, a girl named Isabelle.

Isabelle is a short, 5' tall girl with very white skin, to the point it blinds if directly looked at and so slim, that if she weighs 100lb it's too much. She has dark brown eyes and hair, and wears blue, square rimmed glasses.

-What're you talking about?-she asked confused.

-Jace, we made a pact.-Brice continued.

-Yeah I know, just don't mind me-I said waving my hand brushing it off.

-Okay..?-Isabelle said.-care to tell me what you're talking about?

-It's nothing, forget it.-Tyrone said irritated.-Just something stupid.

We pretended nothing happened and kept eating at Jee-Han's place. After a few minutes of talking, joking and fighting, we finished eating and took our leave.

-I'll see ya guys on Monday!-I yelled as I walked off backwards in the direction of my car.

-Yeah see ya!-Brice said before his face turned to horror.

-Look out!-Tyrone yelled desperately while pointing behind me.

I turned around and to my horror there was a Chimera charging directly towards me and Isabelle. Isabelle was in front of it, paralyzed, not knowing what to do, the savage creature being merely 20 feet away and closing in quickly. I ran as fast as I could towards her, then I pulled her behind me placed myself between the beast and her. I felt the adrenaline in my body surging and every cell in my body yelled a single thing: "Fight!".

I charged toward the beast and it's tail, which in reality was a snake, lunged at me. In the few seconds it did that, my body was able to react and dodge. The lion head and body then pounced on me and tried to bite off my head, yet the creature jumped back staggered as a loud clang was heard.

Brice had whacked it across the face with a frying pan.

-Where the hell did you get that from!?-I asked.

-Jee-Han gave it to me when I asked for something hard with which to hit someone.-he simply replied.

-And he just gave it to you!?-I asked intrigued.

-I'm the mayor's son.-he replied just as simply.

-....Good point.-I said

Tyrone then took Isabelle and carried her to safety as quickly as he could then ran back to join us.

The Chimera looked at us and growled but started being more hesitant towards us. I didn't understand why but I went for it, I took away Brice's frying pan and charged at it. The lion ducked out of the way but the fire breathing goat head was right there waiting for me. I was doomed "there was no way I was getting out of this" I had thought. Tyrone then appeared out of nowhere and tackled it like he would do to a rival football player. The creature's fire shot off, misdirected into one of the nearby mountains, melting the superficial stones upon impact.

-Grab the goat!-I yelled at him.

He swiftly grabbed it by the horns and pointed it away from buildings, mountain sides and anything too big. Meanwhile I grabbed the snake tail before it could do any damage to Tyrone. We both sat on the creature as we could and pinned it down.

-Brice!-I yelled-pick up the frying pan and beat the goat to death!

Tyrone pulled on the horns as if trying to rip it off and with a few frying pan shots, they tore the skin. Soon enough, the head came off and blood shot everywhere, drenching us. That weird feeling of hot, slippery liquid falling onto my skin. The way it slightly burned my eyes. It was definitely a weird sensation. I felt energy surge through me as I was bathed in blood. All of the sudden I looked at myself tearing off the snake from the lion's body and again put myself in front of the blood spouting out. It was unpleasant, yet it gave me strength. I went straight for the lion, taking the frying pan out of Brice's hands once more and banging it against the Chimera's lion head so hard it caved in after five or so strikes.

My friends then looked at me, whether it was in awe or fear I didn't know, however there was something written on their faces.

-How the hell did you do that!?-they all yelled in unison. Even the previously paralyzed Isabelle was demanding an explanation.

I ignored them and headed towards the beast's body. I looked at the goat head and stored it in my bag, though not before wrapping it in a paper.

-Why are you keeping it!?-they yelled in horror.

-I wanna see what makes it able to breathe fire.-I replied calmly, still drenched in blood.-Come by my house and I'll show you, or you could help. Class is in session.
