I watched as the orb was absorbed into Tyrone's chest. After the longest minute of my life it finally worked. He began to move his legs and he opened his eyes.
-It worked!-I yelled.-It actually worked!
-You're going to live Tyrone!-Brice said.
-He's still in dire need of medical attention, but he'll survive now.-Isabelle said.
-What did you do?-he said quietly.
-Save your strength, I'll get explain when we get to the hospital.-I said.
-The nearest hospital is still an hour away. Will he survive that long?-Isabelle said.
-I don't know, but he won't have to.-I said.-I'll be taking him over there, it'll only be about two minutes on my time.
-...Good point.-said Brice.
-Here we go buddy.-I said as I picked up my friend. He looked better at least.
I blasted off as fast as I could, the wind flapping against me felt incredible. Everything around me was a blur, I could hardly describe the buildings around me. The city's humomgous skyscrapers were blowing past, making them barely observable. I arrived at the hospital in almost no time at all and then walked in looking for a doctor to see the emergency of his situation. I finally found one and pleaded to treat my friend. He called a bunch of nurses and a gurney for Tyrone and they went off into the emergency room.
I put my trust in the doctors and simply left to go bring the rest of my friends and my mother. After ten minutes I finally brought the rest of my friends to the hospital with me, one by one. I brought Brice, Isabelle and then my mother in that order. When I brought my mom Isabelle and Brice where nowhere to be seen so I guessed that Tyrone had been moved to a room. I asked at reception and the woman there, a blonde, blue eyed, female around the age of 35 told me that he was indeed moved to a room.
-Um, which room is it and, can we visit?-I asked
-Oh, yeah here.-She said as she gave me and my mother two cards with the room number, "217".-Room 217 take the elevator and turn right, then follow the numbers down the hall.
-Thanks, have a nice day.-I said.
-Welcome, have a nice day as well.-she said.
We went up the elevator and followed her instructions, and eventually found Tyrone's room. I went in and he already looked much better.
-Hey! You're alive!-I yelled.
-Yeah, thanks to what you did.-he said.-Actually, what did you do?
-I'll tell you but first, let me try something.-I said as I pulled out my sword which I had previously hidden in my bag.
-What're you doing?-Isabelle asked worried.
I ignored her and simply brought down my sword onto Tyrone's left arm, then I heard a metallic clang that proved my suspicions.
-Jace are you out of your mind!-Brice yelled before he heard the clang.
-Let me rephrase that, are you out of your mind!? You gave him Heracles' power didn't you!?-he yelled after the clang.
-Yeah, after I killed Heracles I saw an orb that described what he had, "Achilles Enchantment: No heel" or something like that.-I said.-I gave it to Tyrone because the surge in power would revive him for a moment. I'm sure I can take it away, but this will protect him, so I won't.
-Wow, but you could've kept it for yourself! You could've become so much more powerful!-Tyrone complained.
-I don't care! I needed to save my friend!-I yelled.
He remained silent and so did Isabelle, Brice and my mother. Just silence in that small white hospital room. I got close to the window and looked outside to the parking area.
-I don't want my friends to die. So I'll do it again and again. I'll keep giving you powers to defend yourself, so just accept it and live.-I said before I finally left the room and went back home to begin cleaning up the area.
I sat down and waited there. I waited for something to come down and strike me. I just felt weird and stuff because my friend basically prefered dying over preventing myself from getting stronger. I sat there for a few more minutes before deciding to go back to the hospital. Ten minutes had passed since I left the hospital and when I came back there was a Cyclops attacking the building. A square shaped building with bridges leading to from wing to wing. About 100 feet in height and a gigantic square of free space where the 20 foot Cyclops stood. On the floor fighting the Cyclops I saw several police officers shooting it with their little bullets barely scratching the beast. I flew in at my hypersonic speed and cut off the beast's arm.
It was horrible looking, and surprisingly tough. I wasn't using my whole strength but it should've been enough to cut the whole thing in half, though only the arm came off. It had human looking skin but it was way tougher than that. It had one big eye around a three feet in diameter. It's clothing was a leather tunic with some metal braces for armor. It's scream of pain, although human, was very irritating and loud.
-These guys aren't even going to tickle you if you withstood one of my attacks.-I said to the giant.
I was about to jump again and attack it, but I heard a window break as a black, tall, muscular guy jumped out of it from the second floor. He ran up to the beast and gave an impressive jump that reached it's face as he punched it's eyeball and sent it flying across the parking lot.
I couldn't help smile as I saw him.-Well you're up and running again.-I said to him as he landed.
He laughed.-Yeah, I feel better than ever. Look out myths, Tyrone is locked and loaded!-He finally said.
