I calmed down and made my aura disappear. I stayed around the school and tried to distract myself. The school was the perfect place to train. On one side of the school there was a beach, it was around a kilometer. There was a mountain range behind the school, good for cardio training I guess. Lastly, to the East of the school there was a small forest with a very orginal name, "Brinkfield Forest". I distracted myself by testing my new abilities. I ran as fast as I could to the beach to try to see how many kilometers per second I can run. I accidentally over shot it and reached the water. I found myself running on water like a boss. I laughed giddily and whooped with glee. I decided I had enough in that moment and ran back to the beach. As I ran geysers of water errupted beside me. I was tripped by the water, somehow, and fell on my face. I skipped several times around the water until I finally arrived at the shore. I looked back and from the sea rose a figure. A figure I had seen before, he was 7 feet tall, he was clad in green scales. He had a long red beard, very muscular arms, and in his scale armor, well more like scaley second skin, his torso was exposed, showing off the chiseled abs. Then, the thing I saw confirmed who this mysterious man was, I saw a golden Trident with a starfish and seaweed hanging onto it, and the last letter of the greek alphabet, omega, was inscribed onto it.
-Poseidon.-I said coldly as I stood up.
-God Slayer, no, Jace. I came to congratulate you for killing Anubis. He was a very formidable foe, yet you easily overpowered him.-Poseidon said.-I've come to warn you. Anubis is a minor God, whilst me and my brothers are major Gods. I understand the taste of victory, however you seem to have gotten drunk on it.-his tone intensified as he said that.-I accept your challenge regardless. However, you wouldn't stand a chance the way you are now.-he said as a throne arose from the sea and he sat on it very confident.-I would enjoy if you actually managed to touch me, for that reason, and that reason only, I have persuaded my brother Zeus to spare you. Well, more like to not bother himself with such a fragile existence like yourself. Get stronger, Jace, it'll be more fun when I show you weak you really are when we finally face off.-the God finished.
I glared at him annoyed-I will kill you, Poseidon, just not yet.
-Good!-he said mockingly-I like the fighting spirit in your eyes. You have one month, then I will come looking for you, don't disappoint me.- he finshed as he began sinking on his throne.
-I won't, please make sure that I'm not way stronger than you by the time we fight.-I said in the same mocking tone.- Don't disappoint me.-as I finshed I ran off back to school.
I decided that I still needed to test my powers so I decided to do more tests. The school is about 50 feet tall, so that would be a nice refrence point. I jumped as high as I could and I found myself surpassing the school by at least 30 feet. The school was very big in the wide, long and tall sense. It was completely gray and it's sign read, “Specialized School in Science and Mathematics: Brinkfield's Atlas Rubenstein School.” The school is named Atlas Rubenstein after it's founder who was a very devoted educator. There are more school's like this all across the country, so that's why it has our town's name in the title. When I landed I decided to a strength test. I went to the mountain range and looked for the biggest stone I could find. As I looked I finallt found it, a big boulder about the size of a school bus. I was aware of my current strength so I acted accordingly. I used only my left hand(my non dominant one) and used the effort I would've used back when I was normal, to lift a pencil. I lifted the boulder over my head and smiled. I then passed it over to my right hand and threw it up into the sky as hard as I could. It disappeared from my sight for a moment from how far it went. Then I saw it coming back down, so I jumped and crushed it into tiny pieces so it wouldn't hit the mountain, and possibly cause a mudslide. Eventually I got bored of testing my skills and simply went into the gym to wait for everyone. When I came in Sergeant Anderson was placing paper tags on the four corners of the gym.
-What're you doing, Sergeant?-I asked.
-I'm protecting the gym.-he asnwered.-these tags are marked with my aura. The writing on it is just the signature my aura leaves.-he explained.-These are literally just paper squares with adhesive on the back, what makes the special is my aura. My aura has made it so that the the area inside the four paper corners will be protected.-He placed the last tag and they all glowed white for a moment and then wenr back to normal.-Try hitting the ground. Don't hold back, hit it with your full force.
-Are you sure?-I asked unsure about the idea myself.
-Yes Jace, now hit the floor.-he said.
-Okay... Here goes!-I said as I brought down my fist with full force. The ground didn't crack, break or even get scratched.-Wow. So we can really let lose in here can't we?
-Yes.-he simply replied.-Now show me your speed.
-Um... Okay.-I said as I ran as fast as I could. To my surprise Sergeant Anderson was already waiting for me on the other side of the gym by the time I got there.
-Took you long enough.- he said.
-You're faster than me! Way faster!-I said surprised.
-Not at all kid.-he said.-I'm just more clever. That which you just showed is your natural speed, and I can't beat that. But I wasn't going at my natural speed.-he explained.
-What do you mean?-I asked curious.
-Aura. It can let you do so many amazing things.-he finshed.
