Chapter 13: The Storm Gods of Shinto

The two Gods stared at us with rage.

They suddenly disappeared from how fast they where going, and so did Brice and myself. I struck Fujin and Brice struck Raijin. We began zooming all over the place and fighting against the twin Gods. After a few minutes the rest of our friends came into the area and watched the fight.

-What're we standing around for!?-Tyrone complained.-Let's do this!

He then jumped in and joined the fight, helping Brice attack Raijin. Then Kate also realized what she needed to do and joined me in attacking Fujin. Only Tyrone and Brice where using aura but due to our God Slayer enhancements we didn't require the us of our aura.

-Oi, Fujin!-Raijin bellowed.

-Let's do it, Raijn!-Fujin yelled back at the other Oni faced God.

They pulled away from us and prepared themselves. Raijin began hitting his Shimedaiko with rage, while Fujin opened his bag of winds. Tyrone put himself in front of us to protect us from the winds, whilst Isabelle used her aura to shield us from the incoming lightining. They continued their relentless assault and showed no signs of ever stopping.

-If they won't stop, we'll make them stop!-I yelled as I looked at all of my friends. They all nodded knowing what to do.

Isabelle prepared paper tags and placed them high above the trees. She walked up the trees using her aura to create enough friction for her to walk parallel to the ground. She placed them around a pretty large range. When the lightning tried to come down, the aura shield Isabelle created over us using the tags prevented the lightning fron coming down. Tyrone protected Brice, Kate and me from Fujin's furious winds. He moved with us and protected us like a wall, Tyrone the Tank, that's sounds nice.

Brice, Kate and myself released our aura completely. Brice and myself condensed it around our fist. We jumped towards Fujin from opposite directions. Brice came in from his right and I came in from his left. We both threw our punches aiming for his head, to try and crush it from the impact. The God sealed his bag of winds and raised his arms, blocking both of our punches. Kate then jumped condensing all of her aura into the tip of her index and middle finger as she aimed to pierce the God's head. Tyrone headed towards Raijin to prevent him from intervening with the attack, he socked Raijin in the face stunning the lightning master. Kate pierced Fujin's head completely as the God dropped the wind bag. Isabelle caught the windbag to prevent it from opening.

-You brats!-Raijin yelled angered. The thunder clouds on top of us getting blacker and blacker as he was angered.-You will face my wrath now mortals!

I compressed aura to my feet in order to prepare for what was about to happen. The God disappeared, with a flash of lightning and Isabelle's aura shield was broken. I boosted my speed with my aura beforehand for this very moment. I disappeared along with Raijin as we landed blow after blow. Raijin began banging his drums harsher making it seem like it was raining lightning. I could hardly keep up until of the sudden Raijin was blown away.

-Nice timing, Isabelle.-I said, when I saw my friend holding the bag of winds.

-Don't waste time and kill him!-she yelled.

I went as fast as I could with aura and then made it flow back to my fist when I was close enough. I put extra effort and concentrated for a longer amount of time. The flaming skull formed around my fist as I hit the God in the stomach and impaled him. I bathed myself in his blood, whilst Kate did the same with Fujin. I then tossed her Raijin's body and she tossed me Fujin's. I again bathed in the silver blood of the God and later threw him aside. My aura was released and now the skull had grown muscles and skin, making the shape of an Oni, a horned beast with elvish ears like the two Gods we had just fought.

My body had become more muscular and a dark, black mass, almost like a portal to hell appeared beside me. The mass was also part of my aura when I reached for it I grabbed something. It was a completely black samurai sword. I saw that Kate had a the same experience, yet she pulled out purple daggers that were placed on an ammo sash.

-Woah!-Isabelle.-That looks awesome!

I laughed and then remembered the Gods.-Brice!-I yelled as I grabbed Raijin's soul.- Here!-I guided the soul towards him.

-For me!?-he asked.-Bro, you serious!?-he then asked excited.

-Yeah man, I'll take Fujin- I answered.

-Sweet! Raijin become one with me!- he yelled.

Brice looked like he felt invincible. For a moment in a red aura we saw Raijin behind him. I did the same with Fujin and felt as we became one and power flowed into me. Fujin projected his aura in green behind me.

I looked at Brice.-We have to spar together!

-Totally!-he answered back.

We didn't realize it but we began levitating.

-Woah.-I said.

-Race ya back!- Brice said taking a head start.

-Cheater!-I said going after him.

As we ran towards the school Brice's body began to buzz or hum. Suddenly, it disappeared with lightning and went as fast or faster than Raijin. He reached the school first and looked at his body dumbfounded.

-Woah.-He said.

-... Let's switch I want Raijin, I'll give you Fujin.-I said laughing excited..

-Nah man. I'm too much for you.-he said laughing as well.

-Brice...-I said.- Let's spar.

-You read my mind Jace.- he answered confidently and excited.-Right here? Right now?

-Yeah Brice. Right here. Right now.-I answered back very confident.

He concentrated and brought out the shimedaiko drums. I did the same and brought out the wind bag.
