I glanced at my mom while she tossed a pancake up in the air. "When was the last time you saw her though?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

My mom just finished explaining how she'd be leaving for 2 months because she had to go on a business trip. At first I was confused because my mom worked as a cashier in a local grocery.

Cashiers don't go on 2 month business trips do they? My mom explained to me how her old college friend offered her a job because she's married to the owner of casino's all over the world, he owned 143 to be exact.

He needed my mom to handle the finance part. He wanted to take her as a financial advisor, that meant my mom would have to learn how his company worked. That meant leaving for two months.

My mom majored in business when she was in college. She never really got a chance to pursue her career further because of my father.

He cheated on my mom when I was 13. that'd be around 4 years ago. I'm 17 now. He would always sneak out of the house and came back drunk and sometimes with bruises on his body.

"About 2 years ago. I saw Christina about 2 years ago when she visited for a short time." My mom turned back to me.

Two years? that's a long time. She's gonna trust her distant friend to take care of her only child for two months?

"How well do you know her?" I took a spoonful of my pancake. It tastes phenomenal as always.

"Honey, I trust her with my life and I trust her with yours." My mother held the top of my hand as she assured me.

I nod my head, al though I still wasn't in full agreement. "When do you leave and when do I go to her house?"

My mother handed me a cup of orange juice.
"Well today is Wednesday, so two days. On Friday you have to be at her house by 5pm, my flight leaves at 8 and I can't be late." she planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Okay, well... be safe okay? We can skype anytime." I lightly hug her side.

"I know honey, and take care of yourself. I don't wanna come back with an addict, or a pregnant daughter." She nudged my arm and I chuckled.

I shook my head and took another sip. "Don't worry mom, the only guys who talks to me are Jared and our science teacher and let me tell you, the man doesn't know what a toothbrush is." I joked and she giggled. I wanted to give her assurance before she left.

"She's got a son, about your age." She added as she cleaned the plates.

"Oh, you guys were pregnant around the same time?" I lifted my head to face my moms back.

"Oh no, she never wanted kids. It's her step-son. Maybe you know him? He goes to your school." She asked hoping but I shook my head saying no.

I tried making the situation lighter "What's his name?"

"Uhm, Bl- B- Blake I think." She raised one hand in excitement.

I shook my head once again and sighed "Doesn't ring a bell, I'll ask around. It'll be fine." I gripped my mothers shoulders.

"Speaking of a bell, you better hurry before you're late." She gave me a tight squeeze and I ran out of the door.

My school wasn't too far, it was a good 10 minute walk. It's basically my exercise.

My best friend Lexi would usually come by and get me everyday but unfortunately her car broke down on Sunday and it still isn't fixed.

As I get to school I see a bunch of kids rounded up in a circle. I try to tippy toe over the insanely tall students, predominantly males.

"Excuse me. what's going on?" I tapped a guy with a school jersey on and he turned around almost out of breath.

"Storm and Jonah are fighting." He chuckled at the end.

Oh boy, Storm in a sentence already makes it a bad sentence. A very frightening sentence may I add.

Storm is the baddest of the bad, he smokes, he does all types of drugs, God only knows if those drugs are actually drugs, he parties, gets into fights, got arrested multiple times, has a good amount of haters, but an even more overwhelming amount of lovers. He has minions that track his every move, he has girls on leashes, every guy wants to be him and every girl wanted to date him.

I don't understand why because I know for a fact they all hear the gossip and rumors about how he breaks girls hearts and just uses them for a one night stand. Every girl still wanted him though, that didn't stop them, Oh no.

I heard even our drama teacher used to have a crush on him. Our drama teacher is married by the way.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" a bunch of kids yelled as they pumped their fists in the air and continued chanting.

Storm is literally a storm, he will destroy you without a warning.

His devilish smile, dark hair, piercing blue-green eyes and a structured jawline makes him very good looking, I must admit.

He's definitely hot, I can say that but I can't speak for his personality though, the boy is just all kinds of trouble.

Even if you don't know what Storm's label is, you'd know in a heartbeat. He's the typical bad boy, problematic, rich kid.

His family is loaded from what I hear. Everyone says his house is practically a palace.

I try and do everything possible not to get noticed by him.
I am not getting involved with the bad boy.

Boom I heard the sound of skin to skin contact and a few crackling noises, the boy opposite to Storm was on the ground holding his clearly broken jaw.

The boy tried to get up but Storm kicked him in the stomach, he coughed up a bit of blood. Jonah looked helpless, his body curled up and his arms trying to cover the jabs of the bad boy.

As he lifted his arms again ready to make another punch I shrieked for him to stop.
"STORM! STORM STOP! You're gonna kill him!" I tried getting through the crowd, squeezing into every possible space.

I think he heard me yell his name but not my complete sentence as he lined himself up against the boy again.

I was already at the front and I managed to get a clear view of them, less than four feet away a guy was facing his death.

"Stop! SERIOUSLY!" I yelled directly at Storm, I knew he saw the worried and scared look on my face.

But that didn't stop him, oh god no. He just shook his head and lined himself again.
I couldn't think of anything else to save this boy's life.

I did it. I did one of the most stupidest things I could have ever done. I ran I front of Jonah. There it was. The pain, the agony. It hit my jaw like a shit ton of bricks.

My teeth crashed into each other, I hope I didn't break any. The most pain I felt was on my left jaw. I held it and pressed firmly trying to stop the pain.

Storm was shocked, it finally hit him the he hit not only one but two people today.

Jonah decided to hold me and put his arms around my back trying to support me, al though it really should be the other way around.

My vision went blurry, my head started pounding and my gums shot pain throughout my body.

I saw Storm walking back towards us looking very angry, not even sorry or sympathetic. That's the bad boy for you.

"Storm, stop. Please man." Jonah held out an arm to Storm trying to keep the distance large.

He looked directly at me and stared me down. He groaned and pointed at me "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN INVOLVED!" he yelled at me causing me to jump a little.

"Are you joking? you were nearly gonna kill him!" I yelled back, I could feel the rage pumping through my system, or is that still the after shock of the punch?

I heard "ooo's" coming from everywhere, everyone was still there and looking at us.

I felt a sudden rush come to my head and the room got darker, I couldn't feel anything now.
