Riley and I found ourselves very fond of each other. We instantly clicked, she was just a year younger than Blake and after their mother died she decided to go to boarding school in England. Blake didn't approve of that idea very much so she went behind his back and left, he found out two days later and was infuriated with her after.
"That's such a nice colour on you." Riley coated another layer of light pink nail polish onto my finger.
"Aw, thanks. I think the blue would really bring out your beautiful skin." I replied.
She looked at her arm and smiled, "I think so too!" She said and we both laughed.
We heard footsteps coming towards us, we twisted our heads to the side and saw Blake coming us while we was biting the apple he held in one hand. "Riley, it's your first day back and all you wanna do is paint your nails?" Blake had a disapproving tone lingering in his voice.
"Oh shut up!" She joked, "And I'm hanging out with Liam today."
"If your doing my best friend please don't let me know." Blake shook his head and had disgust plastered onto his face.
Riley threw a pack of cotton pads onto him, "Don't worry, I won't." Riley smirked.
She also told me the story of her and Liam always hanging out together when they were younger since Blake always had him over. She also mentioned that she had a crush on him and that she'd try to get with him. I found it really cute actually, they were close friends and now she wants to to take it to another level.
"Blake, don't look so surprised that you're sister's growing up. She's 16 remember?" I shot him a look and he groaned.
"I know, I know. I just don't wanna know that she's growing up and having sex."
"Well that's why she's not gonna tell you." I looked at Riley who had a devilish smile on her face, "She's only telling me." I bragged.
"Ew. Stop. Please. Whatever, I'm gonna cook lunch, what do you guys want?" Blake asked.
"Surprise us!" I hollered as he made his way to the kitchen.
I looked back at Riley who had her eyes narrow and jaw opened. "What's wrong?" I whispered.
"You called him Blake?" She asked surprisedly.
"Yea, how come you don't?"
"He'd strangle me if I did!" She dropped her hands to her side which caused a light thud. "But you call him Blake." She looked at me still confused by the situation.
I don't see why it's such a big deal. It's his name, and his mom's name... Okay, I think I see her point a little. But maybe he just wanted to get used to being called Blake so his friends could call him that later on without him remember ping his mom.
"Yea, he said I could." I replied.
"Wait." She arched an eyebrow, "Are you guys dating?" She was shocked, I could tell by the tone and the look on her face.
"Yea but hot in that way!" I shook my head from side to side.
"What?"
"We're fake dating because he needed an excuse to drop his clingy ex and I needed to drop my asshole of an ex so we made this deal, we're not actually dating." I reassured her.
"Uh huh." She cocked her up and smirked.
"What?"
"And through your fake dating phase, have you fallen in love with him?"
"What? No! Oh my god! I don't think you've met your brother!" I yelled.
"I have." She nodded, "And that's why I know, he's in love with you."
