For the whole entire day all I could about is Riley and my dad, my mind would constantly switch between the two topics. I looked like a walking mess, my hair was dishevelled, my face looked bland and my skin looked paper white.

All day I had this feeling like I wanted to throw up. The day didn't go by fast enough because I'm still here sitting in English class, the last class of the day. I could see Lexi and Blake sitting at each corner of the room. Lexi was secretly filing her nails under the desk and Blake kept his eyes on the teacher, I on the other hand was drifting into oblivion.

I remembered what Christina, Blake's step mother had said yesterday when I was eavesdropping on them, Riley was arriving this afternoon. I was curious to see how she'd look like, and what she was like, if Blake really did love her she must be wonderful.

I was curious to know what their relationship was like, why did she leave? There must've been a good reason why she did. Blake never mentioned her to me once, actually I've only heard him talk to Liam about her.

My thought switched to another topic, my dad. Why did he text me yesterday? Just like that, out of the blue. He must have a valid and string reason why. He's an incompetent asshole who hurt my mother and I over and over again. My mother, being so understanding always forgave him until she couldn't take it anymore. He never contacted us for 4 years, why now? After my respond yesterday, he didn't bother to reply. It's better that he didn't.

He hurt my mother and I badly. The effect he had on us after the divorce was horrendous. My mother was a complete mess but I was hell. I hated thinking about what I did after the divorce but it shaped me into the person I am right now, which is not completely a bad thing. I was out of control and I had no boundaries that time, all because of my stupid father.

"Kate?" I heard fingers snapping in front of my face, I wasn't aware that I was completely dozing off.

I twisted my head so fast that I think I got whiplash, I saw Blake hoovering above me. "Hm?"

Blake arched an eyebrow and looked at me in confusion, "School's over, are you really such a nerd that you wanna stay longer?"

"No, sorry." I was unaware of the things I was saying, I was still half focused in my deep thought.

I started gathering my thins while Blake stood beside my desk waiting, "You didn't insult me back."

I shook my head and slung my backpack on my shoulders, "Yea."

"What's wrong?"

"Huh?" I looked at him strangely, "Nothing, just tired."

"Okay..." He tailed off, he was still looking at me in a strange manner but I didn't care, I was still focused between Riley and my dad. "Come on, I'll drive you." He held out his hand and cocked his head towards the exit.

I didn't hesitate and I took his hand in mine. I gave him a smile and he wakes us out of the building, I felt like a walking zombie to be completely honest. I felt as if my body was confused and didn't know what it was doing. I almost bumped into a trash can might I add.

Blake opened the car door for me and gave mumbled a "thank you." I looked out the window and stared at all the pretty things surrounding me while Blake was driving. I felt a hand grip my thighs and a shock of energy pulsed in every nerve I had in my body. My arms grew goosebumps and the hairs on my neck were suddenly standing. My hands started getting sweaty and I bit my lip so no sound would escape. "Insult me." Blake commanded.

I look back at him and gave him a wary look, "Why?" I asked. He had this look on his face, like he was sad but concerned, "So I know you're okay." He sighed.
