•Chapter 12• Bruises and Blondes

This is how I picture Stephan.

Elijah is currently sitting in the chair Stephan was sitting on earlier, looking at me with a distant look in his eyes.

"Well?" I ask him.

Ignoring me, he sighs loudly "What are we going to do with you Jess?"

I'm confused, because I can't tell if he's being serious or not, but the smirk on his face shows that he's joking.

"I didn't know you could fight like that" he asks with pride in his eyes.

Shrugging I answer in a low, scratchy voice "I'm a warrior Elijah, I'm here for a reason."

Nodding, he agrees with me "How are you feeling." I jump slightly as he reaches out and touches my hand while smiling softly at me.

"I'm fine, but these bandages hurt like a bitch" I growl out.

Laughing, he shakes his head and brings my hand to his lips, kissing the back of it with his lips.

"I'm sure they do" he says sarcastically.

"Where did you go?" I ask shyly, not wanting to be nosey.

"Don't worry about it Jess, I just had to sort something out" he sends me a convincing smile, that had me dropping the topic in a matter of seconds.

"Anyways" he pauses nodding his head towards the door, "There are some people out there who want to see you."

I perk up as my eyes widen, seeing Lynn and Josh walking in, both smiling at me.

Rushing over to me, Lynn practically jumps into my arms.

"BITCH WHAT HAPPENED."

"Ow, Lynn my ribs" I whine as the pain starts to come back.

"I'll give you a couple minutes" Elijah states, walking to the door.

"Hey Jess, thanks for the pain in my chest and neck too, you know I can feel your emotions" Josh says sarcastically.

"Come here" I open my arms as wide as I can, asking both of them for a hug.

I welcome the warm, familiar scents of my friend and brother.

"I missed you guys" sighing, I rest my head on Josh's shoulder.

Tightening their arms, I grunt "We missed you more" they answered in sync.

We pull away as they sit down in front of me.

"So what happened?"

"Fuck, you showed them, I'm proud of you girl" Lynn says, Josh nods in agreement.

After I finished telling them about what happened, they were slightly shocked at the outburst of the pack members. I can't blame them though, they didn't recognize me.

They told me about, where they're staying, and how they like it. Lynn's had a lot of fun with her sister, and Josh told me the boys are cool. Typical. We all started talking about how the Silver Paws are doing. Josh mentioned that Alpha Demetre talked to him the other day, asking him about how we are. Everyone is doing fine, even my dad.
