"Wh-Wha-What?" I stutter. Her father killed her mate, but why, how. Why is she with Elijah than?

I go to open my mouth and speak to ask questions, but she holds up her hand silencing me. I instantly shut up and let her continue.

"Like I said before, Daniel was an Omega, not a fighter, but a healer and my father didn't like that. Me being the daughter of an Alpha, meant I was supposed to be with an Alpha and become Luna of the pack. Again like I said before."

I look down at my feet and kick a small rock out of the way, desperately wishing I was that rock right now.

Sighing, she continues "Anyways, when I met Daniel, he was from a different side of my pack, and as in my pack I mean my father was the Alpha. Daniel was the guy who only had a few friends, and they had everything in common. From math to science to art even, they always got a long so well. I loved his friends, they were so kind to me and didn't treat me as if I were royalty like all my other fake friends did."

She growls slightly as I see her tears start to fade away and now become filled with anger.

"I didn't tell my father about Daniel, because if I did, I would get in trouble. So, I snuck out to see him. I would lie and say I'd be going to one of my friends house, when really I would be with Daniel."

I would have never guessed Tiffany to be a sneaky like that. I guess her parents were strict too. I laugh slightly and look at her, raising and eyebrow I ask "Did you too ever get caught?"

The smile on her face instantly vanishes and a pained one crosses her face.

"Yes, we got caught once. Daniel and I were meeting in our usual spot, which was an area just behind a tree where no one knew about. We were kissing and he was telling me jokes, and we got in the heat of the moment I guess." She pauses and takes a deep breath.

"He was just about to mark me, make me his forever, and than that's when my father found us. I don't know how but he did, and he took Daniel away from me."

"When I got home, he beat me till I couldn't see out of my left eye, and banned me from seeing Daniel. I didn't find out until a month later that my father had locked him up, and eventually killed him. The only man I've ever loved."

I didn't even realize that I had been crying until Tiffany wipes away my tears and whispers in a pained voice. "Oh Hun, please don't cry for me."

That only caused me to sob even more. I can't believe what a horrible person I am. I didn't know her story, and I was so awful to her. Once she finished she smiled at me, while we continued walking, just enjoying the sounds of nature.

"I don't know if he told you, but Elijah and I have know each other since we were 15." She says not looking my way but up at the sky. I keep quiet and let her continue.

"It was through a mutual meeting between two packs, the one I was in and the one he was in. We had to spend the whole day together while our pack members went off and did whatever it is they do. After that day, we became good friends and exchanged members. We were both young and he became my best friend."

Yeah best friend my ass. Best friends don't have sex and become Alpha and Luna of a pack together. I tried to not show my irritation on my face, so I turned the other way while still listening to her.

"We had kept in contact for many years and when I told him I found my mate, he was very happy for me, but at the same time I knew something was bothering him."

"What was it?" I question.

A moment of silence happens where she stands still, and holds her breath.
