Remember how I said I didn't really care for a mate, and how I didn't need a man in my life?Yeah, throw that out the window.
All my common sense was gone the second I touched his skin. Tingles exploded over my skin as I now stand in the warm embrace of the man who is made to love me for eternity.
"Elijah" I whisper softly running my fingers through his raven coloured hair.
"Say it again" he says while growling low in his throat. Running his nose up and down the length of my neck, taking in my scent.
I shiver.
"Elijah" I purr out gripping his hair in my hands.
"You smell so good" he groans out in the sexiest voice I've ever heard.
Tightening the hands he has wrapped along my lower back, we embrace each other as if it's our last breath. I take in his scent becoming familiar with the smell of cinnamon and one hundred percent Alpha male.
Mmmm, I like him. Jordan purrs in my head acknowledging our mate.
I do too. I respond quickly.
Focusing back onto Elijah, I realize we had been standing there and hugging for a really long time, and I'm not going to lie,
It's getting a bit awkward."You're supposed to be assessing me" I laugh against his chest trying to start a conversation.
Ignoring me, he tightens his arms.
"Elijah" I say again slightly annoyed.
He growls in approval, and still continues to ignore me.
"Elij-" I speak but instantly get cut off by no other then the Alpha in front of me.
"Shhh, be quiet" he says, words slightly muffled as his head is buries itself in my hair.
"Are you that excited to meet me?" I question suppressing a laugh
"Yes-I mean, yeah, a bit" he answers instantly ending with a growl.
Pulling away slightly, he looks down at me with his dark eyes. Eyes burning with fierce emotions, it's almost as if he's looking right through me.
"Beautiful" he whispers while bringing his hand up to my cheek.
I lean into his touch, and place one of my hands on his solid chest feeling the muscles tighten under my touch. Goosebumps appear on my arms and legs as his body against mine, sends sparks throughout my limbs.
Shivering slightly as a gust of wind rushes through the trees and past myself, I snuggle into his warmth.
"I apologize for my actions earlier" he mumbles quietly never breaking away from our position.
I quickly recall his actions of him mocking me about being a 'warrior' and how I was making a bad impression.
"It's alright" I mumble softly. "You didn't know."
He shakes his head which causes his dark hair to fall in front of his eyes.
Pulling away I look up at him with tender eyes, "Really it's okay."
