This whole mess started in the beginning of the school year. It's not exactly a long story, and it for sure didn't start in the most exiting of ways. I was a sad, sad teenager with a tragic attempt at a social life and absolutely zero love life. I liked to think of myself as that kid who's a tad bit nerdy, but at the same time all the boys fall for his hidden dark side and cuteness. But alas, no. I was just an outcast. Not bullied or teased, not even noticed. Oh yeah, obviously I was gay. Didn't really make matters better. Basically my only friends were Scott, Allison and Lydia, if I could even call Allison and Lydia friends. I mostly just tagged along them now  considering Scott had been dating Allison for 2 weeks and all the attention was on her.
I can't can't fault him though, sadly. Allison was the clear cut case for a perfect girlfriend. She was one of those insufferable people who no matter how hard you try you can't find a flaw about. And that why I really liked her, even though she came with the strawberry blonde, highest grades in the school, fashionista Lydia. A perfect package deal.
Now, that might at first glance seem like the perfect opportunity to court her or just generally rise to the top of the school food chain. At second glance it's a nightmare of weekly shopping trips and bag-holding.  But if you really look, you could see that I used the less than ideal situation to my advantage. You see, nobody knew I was a raging homosexual, I somehow even managed to fool Scott.
How did I do that you ask. How did Stiles Stilinski manage to have everybody look past his flamboyant antics?
I've convinced everyone I'm in love with Lydia.
Now that's the perfect cover-up.

"Scotty, my man. You know I love you but I've been waiting here for 20 minutes." I said and crossed my arms as I leaned against the tile wall of beacon high. Scott had arrived late for the third time this week., and I knew exactly why.

"Dude I'm so sorry! I forgot to set an alarm, or curfew. Allison sort of came over, kept me up all night, we uh-" He said. You see? I know him so well! I'm truly the best and humblest best friend ever,
"That's more than enough information for now, or ever. You're forgiven." Was all I could muster and I held up my hands in mock-surrender.
"I know the situation might seem thins if shitty to you, and I truly do apologize. I mean you're my best friend man! Always." He said and patted my shoulder with that stupid smile plastered on this face. How could you not accept that?
"You know, maybe you should find someone? There's plenty of time and girls at this school, take Samantha for instance!" He said and pointed towards a girl in the year below us. I recognized her from somewhere, probably the bowling alley where Scott and me used to go. With her mid-length curly Bowen hard and dark complexion she would be the ideal girlfriend. When she is looking she drifted attention from her friend group slightly and smiled at us.
What a fucking shame I couldn't just smile and wave back, maybe even say hi? I dragged Scott in to the cafeteria area and looked pointedly at him.

"What? That's a good step in the right direction!" Scott laughed.
"You know full and well I'm not interested in girls. Other girls! I'm not interested in other girls, yeah." Nice job, shithead
"... you flinched." Scott said, nodding as if he knew something I didn't. Fuck.
"I'm quite confident in that I didn't" I refused.
"You're not serious, are you? It's obvious that you are really in to-"
"No. The answer is no. I'm not in any way shape or form attracted to guys." This time it was my turn to look at him as if I knew something, or at least trying to.
"What are you talking about? I meant it's just obvious you're into Lydia. I just thought it could be good for you to find someone else."
"Oh. Yeah I was just kidding!" Looking back at this I hate myself. Jesus I should just go in to acting, shouldn't I? I mean this just proves I can lie myself out of anything, Jesus I'm a mess.
Scott glanced at me and just shock it off.
"Just think about it, okay? It's just for I'm doing this. See you at lacrosse practice at 10?"
"Yeah! About that..." I tried.
"I can't exactly come. Busy..."
"No way, with what?" Scott asked suspiciously.
Isaac brushed past us, arms gripping onto his books for dear life, and said:
"Yeah why? The whole team needs you!"
I didn't even know how to properly respond to that clear deception of truth so I just glanced at him and he walked away. I turned back to face Scott.
"First of all, no you don't, and second I'm looking up a few thing with uh- Derek." I said scratching my chin.
"Wait, you guys are friends? Since when? Thought you didn't trust him?" Scott was clearly confused, and honestly so was I. Derek, really? Thad's the best I could come up with?
"We're not." I sighed "I need to see how it's going with uh- Peter? Yeah, and that stuff!"
"Ok, so I'll see you at math then?"
"Yeah, just make sure not to miss me too much?"
"Woah slow down there buddy, you can't entrust me with such a mission?" He said through his dopey grin and walked in to his class.
I turned around after him like I had something to add, but decided to just shut my mouth and walk away instead.
