"You're adorable when you act like an idiot, you know that right? What makes you think I would help you, sweetly?" Erica said, shoving her extended claw at my chest. Ouch.
"Put those back, first of all, and it's not me or anything. It's- it's Boyd."
"Why should I believe you?" She said crossing her arms disapprovingly.
"You can hate me all you want, you don't have to like me but right now you just have to listen, Erica."
"Oh please. You don't really think I'm unaware of where he is, do you?" Eyeroll.
"Yes, that's exactly what I needed to hear! Please just tell me where he is."
"Dead."
"Wha-?"
"I killed him." A sly grin spread across her face, showcasing her gleaming canines.
"What? No you didn't. I know you didn't."
Instead of an apology or maybe even a pat on the head she just broke out into laughter, tilting her head upwards.
"I'm just fucking with you, Stiles. Don't take everything so seriously, crybaby. I gives you premature wrinkles"
"Where's Boyd." I asked with the most stern and threatening demeanor I could manage, but of course I failed miserably.
She just grinned and walked away slowly.
"None of your business."
And before I could say anything she was gone, off somewhere only she knows.
A deafening ring from the bell and my attention was snapped back to reality as students swarmed the hall. Somewhere in the packed crowd I managed to make out a familiar face, a misplaced face. Dark hair, sharp nose, a pointy jawline covered in a light stubble accompanied the face.
Derek.
All I could do was shake my head violently and trying to focus my vision one again, and he was gone.
Not a trace he was ever truly there.
A finger tapped my shoulder and I automatically jumped back, Scott.
"Hey man I have this thing I really need to tel- wag dude you ok? You don't look very... Alive."
"I guess it's just nerves or something."
"Anything you need to talk about? Is it Ly-"
"Boyd." I cut off.
"I know damn well you don't have a thing for him."
"Excuse you? No, I meant Erica didn't tell me anything, but she knows. I think."
"It's Erica, if she knows something is up she'd be able to fix it herself, end of story."
"That's my point, it's Erica. I don't think you understands. She tried to kill her own alpha for God's sake, she simply cannot be trusted Scott."
"You have a point, we need to tell Derek though" he said crossing his arms, so there was just no argument for me to be made. Suddenly I got a chill down my spine and the air felt cold.
"Something's not right" I said cautiously looking around.
I could see Scott doing the same as he sniffed around discretely, and just as I was going to walk away I got my earlier vision affirmed.
"Derek. Devils advocate." Scott said trying to sound menacing, but of course messing up.
"I think you mean speak of the devil?" I corrected, jabbing him in the ribs with my elbow. I'll take shit for that later.
"Scott. What was it that you needed to tell me exactly?" Derek took a step forward.
"Go ahead, tell him." Yup, payback.
Derek turned his eyes toward me and I swallowed hard enough to hear it. His eyes could've easily pierced my soul.
"Wouldn't you like to know" was all I could spit out with a nervous smirk.
"Wouldn't you like to have your throat ripped out? With. My. Teeth." Another hard swallow.
"Uh...I um- I'm pretty sure Boyd's okay. Erica where he is anyway" I confessed and found myself staring at the ground as Derek stalked closer.
"I thought so. They didn't get along the last time..." Derek trailed off looking deep in thought.
Derek looked down for a second and ALMOST looked nervous, it was clear he wasn't wanting to show it though. It's an expression I've never seen on him, and if it weren't for the circumstances I'd appreciate it more.
"Scott, find Isaac. Won't really be difficult for you, won't it?" He said completely dropping the neutral expression for a slight smirk, and turning to walk away clearly thinking nothing more needed to be said.
Scott froze for a second then growled slightly.
"Fine."
But alas, all he could do was sigh and jog away further down the corridor. I on the other hand could only power walk after Derek.
"Is there anything I can do?" That was meant to sound sharp but came out rather soft. I managed to somehow pass him and cross my arms meaningly in front of him.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"I'm not doing anything, it was a simple question. What, you can't speak n-"
Before I could finish my sentence my back was pressed against the lockers and I heard metal banging against itself. His arms were placed around my waist and shoulder to keep me from going anywhere, and he knew damn well I had no chance in moving.
All I could really hear was my own heart thumping in my chest.
"Your heart's beating faster." he stated as if it was a fact I wasn't aware of.
"Don't you wolfie-listen to my heart, huge invasion of privacy."
"You don't need to listen to hear that."
Derek grinned amusingly, staring into my soul and probably imagining me dead. Seems likely.
Suddenly he put his hand on my shoulder lightly, and his face sort of relaxed.
Actually, was he- Jesus was he smelling my neck?
I wanted to scream, break free, bash his face in or moan. Actually all of the above.
Before I could say anything, he was gone. Like he never was there, except for the burning feeling where he had touched me. Why didn't he kiss me?
Wait no no no, I shouldn't think that. What's wrong with me? The only person I wanna touch lips with is Lydia. Right?
And that's just when something clicked in me, maybe I didn't despise this man with my entire being?

I wished he kissed me.

I stood alone in silence for a couple of seconds before students started pouring in from every direction.

I wished he kissed me...

Get yourself together. You need a nap.
