Lucien's PoV.

Stupid. Suicidal. That's what she was.

The members of the Death Circle stalked towards, as if they were the predators and not her, she who could transform into any predator.
Why won't she shift?

She held up her hands in surrender.

"I want to talk." Her clear voice rang out.

Malcolm, a fellow archer notched an arrow and aimed at her.

"We don't speak with abominations." He sneered at her.

She rolled her eyes.

"Dude... You sound like those cops who 'kill first and ask questions later.' Who's the man in charge anyway?"

"That would be me," The Captain said stepping forward, he towered over her.
"You are either unaware or foolish, either way, this will lead to your demise."

Ally crossed her eyes at him.

I almost laughed... Almost.

"I don't feel like dying today to be honest..."

"Oh?"

She hummed. "Mhmm. I wanted to ask you something."

"Captain." Lana growled taking out her dagger. "Let us end the thing."

"Patience," Ally said, "you can end me later."

Lana lounged at her, only to be held back by The Chief.

"Let us hear what she has to ask."

Ally seemed pleased.

"Did you kill my parents?" She eyes everyone. Yup. She's suicidal.

"We did." The Captain and Chief said.

Ally's soft brown eyes hardened, nothing else.

"I see." She said through tight lips.

She began pacing.

"What gives you the right to take a person's life?"

The Chief scoffed. "Persons? Your parents were monsters."

The sound of bone cracking echoed through the room.

Ally fell to the ground. Her head gushing blood.

Alecia's PoV.
Pain. Lots and lots of pain.

Did this count as a threat? I sure hope so, cause if not I was going to bleed out on these monsters well waxed floor.

I heard bones cracking again but it didn't bring pain... It brought strength.

It's happening... It's really happening.

I opened my eyes to see I was at knee level with everyone. A saw arrows flying towards me and I dodged them all.

I saw there was an open window to my right, I leaped though it with a volley of arrows chasing after me.

I dashed through the forest.

I hope Aunt Jessica and Grandma shifted...

We did. A voice spoke in my mind. I stopped running.

Aunt Jessica?...

No it's The Ghost of Christmas Past, of course it's me!

Ally keep running! Grandma's frantic voice urged.

Run due east, come to the pond.

See you guys there...

I sped off.

~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~

I gazed into the pond.

I was a lioness. A proud golden lioness.

Aunt Jessica was near by, exercising her shifting. Changing from a prowling tiger to a soaring eagle and finally a wolf.

Grandma stayed perched on a high tree, as an eagle, looking out.

Guys... I said in my mind.

Yes? They both answered.

This is weird. They both laughed.

It's because you aren't turning into something else, try shifting again, imagine another animal. Aunt Jessica suggested.

I turned back to my reflection and thought about my mother... How she loved the cheetah... I closed my eyes and when I opened them again, I became the fastest land animal.

I tried again, I looked in the pond and I was a deer.
Try turning into a smaller creature. Grandma suggested.

Smaller creature... Hm...

I was now in the grass.

Ally not that small!

Guess what I am.

Wolf Aunt Jessica crouched to see that I was a little ant.

I shifted back into a cheetah.

There was a crack in the forest and I picked up a scent.

Ally run...

I did and God knows I was fast.

I looked to my right to see two butterflies fluttering to keep up.

Is that you guys?

Yep!

Hunters?

Yep...

Hide?

Yep.

I transformed into a butterfly too and we flitted and stayed on a branch.
