After attending college,the library has became Taeyeon's favorite place.She always skipped lunch and goes to the library to read and study anything.She even had a favorite study area in the library which is the corner of level 4.
She loves the area because people barely go there to study since it's too silent.People prefer to go to the quiet area where you can still talk.
"Taeyeon-a,going to the library again?"her best friend,Jessica asked."Yeah,see you at class later."she bid goodbye to her friend and made her way to the library.
She sat down at her favorite sppt and took out her books to study.She looked to right and enjoyed the scenery before looking back at her books.After a few minutes,she looked up and noticed that a guy sitting opposite her was holding his book upside down.
She usually doesn't have the habit to check other people out,but this guy had something on his face that made her stared at him.Her eyes travelled to his eyebrows which looked very fine for a guy.
Even though she can't see his eyes since they were covered by his book,she could see that he is very focus on his book which was turn upside down.Thinking of how focus he was on an upside down book,made her blurted a laugh.
She immediately covered her mouth.But once she laugh,she can't stop and has always needed a few minutes to calm down.The harder she tries to control her laughter,the harder she laugh.She looked around,luckily no one was around except from the guy in front of her.
He put down his book and looked at Taeyeon.She could see his tired eyes.He was sleeping just now?
Her laughter woke him up.She felt guilty and funny at the same time."Mian."she whispered to him and returned her attention back to her book.Now that she has seen what he looks like,he actually doesn't look that bad,but more than that,he looks handsome.
"It's okay.You were laughing at me right?Cause there's no reason for you to laugh at your math textbook."he said,making Taeyeon to look up from her textbook.
"Yeah..."she replied awkwardly.
"Oh,I just realized that I had my book upside down.Thanks for unintentionally reminding me."he said and turned his book to the original position."Er...you are welcome."she replied.
She's not use to talking to boys,she has always hung out with girls and books all the time.
"My name is Byun Baekhyun by the way."he said,reaching out his hand and flashing her a rectangular-ish smile.
"My name is Kim Taeyeon."she said and wanted to shook his waiting hand,but since her hands were short and there's a table between them,she couldn't reach his fingers.
He arched forward and shook her hand."Nice meeting you Kim Taeyeon."he said.She nodded.
"If you are sleepy,you can always go to the quiet area,the other students usually sleep on the sofas there."she said,suggesting him a place to sleep.
"I like silent areas.Did I disturb you?"
"No."she replied with a smile to reassure him that he really didn't disturb her from studying.
"Then I will come here everyday to sleep,you don't mind right?"he asked.
"No.This area is for the public anyway."she said.What if he snores?
The next day,Taeyeon sat down at the same spot and looked around.For some reason,she's expecting Baekhyun to sit in front of her and take a nap in front of her.She heaved a sigh before opening her book.
I don't get this question...what if 'all' mean the number of employees stated here and not the population of the whole company.Since it needed me to find the skewness of the standard deviation,maybe it's a sam-
Her thoughts were ceased by Baekhyun who sat down opposite her."Hi,sorry,did I disturbed you?"he asked.
"No,not at all."she said.
"You were looking very serious just now.A problem bothering you?"he asked."No...well,actually,I don't know what to answer for this question."she said,showing her book to him.
He leaned in closer to the book and stared at the question for a moment before saying,"It's a sample.Since we only calculate the standard deviation for sample if there's skewness."
"Ooh...so if it didn't ask for the skewness of the graph,then I will use the standard deviation for population."Taeyeon and Baekhyun said the last word of the sentence.
"Which course are you in?Is this your second year?"she asked.
"Foundation in Natural Built and Environment.You?"he asked.
"Foundation in Arts.I have never seen you before in the lecture theatre.We share the same theatre right?FNBE and FIA."she said.
"Yeah.But I have seen you before.You were always the one sitting in the front."Baekhyun said."Oh,maybe because you were always sitting at the back,so I didn't see you."she said.
"Ah...then we will see each other often.Cause I just decided to sit in the front row starting today.We have the same class later right?"Baekhyun said.
"Oh."she didn't know how to reply to that."So let's...walk to class later together then."she said.
"Sure.You continue your study,don't mind me."he said before burying his head into his croossed arms which were lying on the desk.
"Hey,why don't we study together?"she suggested.She doesn't know where she got the courage to offer him to study with her.He lifted his head up and flashed her grin.
"Sure."he said and scooted his chair beside her.
"Have you studied Chapter 1?"she asked.He shook his head."I studied Chapter 2 and 4 only.Chapter 3 is kind of confusing to me."he said.
"You are confused about the equations or the graph?"she asked.When he didn't reply her,she looked to her left and caught him staring at her.
She cleared her throat."You know your equations?"she asked again."Erm....no.Can you teach me?"he asked.
"Sure."she grinned.
For the next half an hour,Taeyeon taught him all she knows about that chapter.She noticed that Baekhyun kept staring at her when she's teaching him.And when she looked up at him,he immediately diverted his gaze to somewhere else.
"Kaja,let's go to class."Baekhyun said as he stood up and stretched his back.Taeyeon started packing her stuff.
"It's has been a wonderful afternoon with you Ms Kim."Baekhyun said."The same goes for me too,Mr Byun."she said.
After the past few days,since Baekhyun's sitting at the front row beside her,she could feel him staring at her.
"Baekhyun."she said."Hmm?"he asked looking up from the exercise book.
"There's nothing wrong my face,is it?"she asked."Nope,not at all."he replied.
"Then why do I always feel that you are staring at me?"she pointed to herself and asked.
They stared at each other for a moment.Taeyeon stared at him waiting for him to answer her question,but at the same time her heart was beating rapidly inside her chest,she hoped Baekhyun's won't hear her heart beat,cause it's so loud.
"Because I like you."he replied.Taeyeon widened her eyes.She didn't know how to react to that."I have developed a crush on you ever since the beginning of the school year."he confessed.
"I have noticed you every time when we are in the same class.It's been two months now since I had a crush on you."he continued."I finally gained the courage to approach you.So..."he didn't know how to continue.
"But I have never seen you before.I'm so sorry."Taeyeon felt guilty because she has been unintentionally ignoring him for two months.
"It's okay.Let's forget about this."Baekhyun said."Forget about what I said."he added.
"What if I don't want to forget?Cause I wanted to confess myself too,that I like you?"she asked.Baekhyun looked up at her.
"I honestly like you too."she confessed and smile.Baekhyun smiled back at her and the two just stared at each other while smiling.
