Taeyeon sighed as she glanced at Baekhyun who is sitting in front of her.She bit her bottom lip nervously and looked down at her fingers,recalling her conversation with the staffs just now.
"Sorry,the collaboration is cancelled for now."the staff informed her.
"Why?"she asked.
"We don't have the MR,so it will sound terrible if you sing live."
"I can try to sing louder than the AR.It can work."
"No,Wiz is going to perform alone.Since he came all the way from America."
"I came all the way from Korea too.My fans are waiting for that collaboration."
"No,you cannot perform the song on stage without the MR."
"But-"
"No."the staff said and left.
"Album of the year awards goes to EXO!"the host announced.Taeyeon looked at Baekhyun who is standing up and clapping with his members.She herself stood up to congratulate him.
"At least Baekhyun is having fun."she thought to herself, glancing quickly at Baekhyun's direction again. Taeyeon stared at Baekhyun who is on the stage with his members, receiving the award.
The event soon ended and everyone went back to their hotels,some went to celebrate the awards they received,but Taeyeon was alone.
*beep
She swiped the unlock button on her phone to look at the message.
Baekkoong~ : You okay today?What happened?I thought you said you are going to perform See You Again with Wiz.
Taeyeon didn't tell Baekhyun about the performance being cancelled because she didn't want him to worry for her.
Taengoo : It's nothing. Just got cancelled last minute. Something wrong with the sound equipment brought by Wiz's side.You had fun today?Singing with Suzy-ssi?
Baekkoong~ : The members were teasing me about how awkward I was with Suzy. But you know that I wanted to sing with you, right?>O^
Taengoo : Hmm...idk. I feel so lonely because the members aren't here. Where are you?Are you still celebrating with your members?
Baekkoong~ : You can see me if you open the door.
Taeyeon shot up from her bed after reading the message. She ran to the door and opened the door. She was greeted by a bunch of roses.
"Hey."Baekhyun greeted her and pecked her cheek quickly as Taeyeon invited him in.
"I thought you were celebrating with your members."she said as she took the bonquet.
"I left early.Besides,I have to leave Hong Kong early because I have a recording to do."Baekhyun said.
"Ah..."
"What's with Wiz?He looked like an idiot coming all the way from America and singing the song by himself."Baekhyun joked.
"Don't say that.My fans must be so dissapointed right now.I know some of them waited for hours to watch that collab."Taeyeon said.
"You can explain to them through SNS,I bet they will understand."Baekhyun said.
"Yeah,I should."Taeyeon said as she started to click into the social media app.
A few fans commented on her insta to look at what Wiz said about her. She pressed into twitter and saw that Wiz posted something about her backing out from the collab last minute.
"That guy doesn't even know what he is talking about."Baekhyun said beside her,staring at the screen of her phone.
"Didn't the staffs tell him anything?"Baekhyun asked again as Taeyeon stared at the post in shock.
"Give me a minute,I am going to update my snaptagram for a moment to explain this.The fans are so confused right now."Taeyeon said.
"If I find out that this guy is bullying you,I am not going to let him off that easily."Baekhyun said,cracking the bones of his hands.
"Stop making those sounds,I am trying to type here."Taeyeon mumbled.
"Taeyeon-a~"Baekhyun wrapped his arms around Taeyeon's waist from behind.
"Wae~"Taeyeon cooed in reply.
"We didn't spend much time together in Hong Kong. You were busy rehearsing last night until 1:00a.m.We were supposed to have a date at 12:00,yet because of that guy not showing up, we missed our date."Baekhyun said.
"I am so sorry Baekkoong..."Taeyeon pouted at him.
"It's okay.I am just worried that we don't have time for each other."Baekhyun pouted too.
"Aww...me too.Don't worry,I will try to make time for us."Taeyeon said,hugging his arm and snuggling her head onto his shoulder.
She heaved a sigh and mumbled,"What if the fans get confused?About what Wiz said?"
"I believe that your fans will stay on your side.Including me."Baekhyun whispered as he gently pecked the crown of Taeyeon's head.
No matter what happens, this couple will go through the ups and downs they are facing, because they love each other.
