Foxpaw's tail twitched. She unconsciously moved all her toes to test them out before straining to open her eyes, they felt as heavy as marble.

"Mmmm," she groaned as she fully opened her eyes, stretching her body that ached all over; only then did she realize that her side was covered in cobwebs and everywhere else felt sticky.

Why does it feel like I'm getting stung by bees my pelt hurts so much, and why is this sticky stuff all over me? She thought confused. Then it hit her. The battle... her friends... the injuries... Mom!!

She bolted into a standing position but then immediately howled out in pain, going onto her knees. It felt like her side was being ripped open all over again. She then heard paw steps rapidly coming her way.

"Foxpaw! Oh no Foxpaw! Are you O.K.?!"

It sounded like Timberpaw. He burst through the entrance of the Medicine Cat Den, Foxpaw only realizing she was in an incredibly soft moss bed, lying there. Timberpaw sniffed the air.

"I smell blood," he said facing her with a worried expression. "Did you reopen that wound I just closed last night?"

Then something hit her. "Wait, who won the battle? What happened? Are my kin and friends O.K.? How long have I been sleeping? Is Mother O.K.?!" Foxpaw spilled out, each question getting more frantic than the last.

"Woah, woah, woah, slow down. I understand that you're confused, just let me close up your wound again and I'll explain at the same time, just be very still, deal?"

Foxpaw hesitantly nodded, lying back down and shifted so that he'd have an easier time redressing the wound. Timberpaw trotted towards the medicine stores and picked out a few leaves and a very big wad of cobwebs before coming back. He settled himself in a comfortable position before starting his work while he explained what happened, Foxpaw entranced.

"It all started while all of Fire Clan was asleep and in their dens comfortably, snoozing away, except for your mother who was keeping watch; but that's when they attacked. They had made their way past the stone wall and into our camp, Star Clan knows how... They attacked Sunheart first. After she howled out, everyone came out to help her, and that's when the battle broke out. However, I didn't get to see most of the battle. Frostecho instructed me to stay in the Medicine Cat Den with her because if we're injured, we cannot treat the others."

Foxpaw nodded understandingly before urging him to go on. Once he had chewed up the puli-juice and applied it to the wound, he continued while Foxpaw clenched her teeth, trying not to howl out in pain from its sting.

"But then after a while, Badgerpaw came to be in tears, wailing about you dying. Naturally both Frostecho and I had to go help out. Once we reached you, Rabbittail and Cloudheart were guarding as well as Nightpaw and Tornadopaw."

Foxpaw felt close to tears. She's never felt so moved.

"Tornadopaw as well? Are you sure?"

He gave her a brief look, smiling. "Yes, very sure. He looked very concerned about you as any other clan mate would. He looked very fierce as well. There was something in his eyes that made him fired up, looked as if he could take-down a mountain."

Foxpaw felt her eyes water.

So he actually doesn't hate me.. That's good to know.

"Hey wait! Hold up. No water-works allowed in the Medicine Cat Den unless you found the plumpest squirrel in forest and carried it to eat back here or have decided to go vegan and eat onions."
