Foxpaw had arrived back at camp soaking and dripping wet. Riversplash said to both Foxpaw and Tornadopaw that their punishment begins tomorrow because it's raining to much to get moss. He also said to go to the medicine cat den to check out their wounds.

Foxpaw nodded, thankful that they didn't have to clean out the elders den today because of the rain and padded towards the medicine cat den, Tornadopaw following her. She poked her head in. "Hello?"

"Foxpaw? What are you doing here. Do you have a cold or something?" Timberpaw asked, his eyes searching her.

But before she could respond, Tornadopaw pushed her aside.

She squeaked. "Hey! What was that for?"

He annoyingly rolled his eyes. "I got kinda tired of watching your butt. So anyway Timberpaw, I accidentally walked into some brambles scratching my face while Foxpaw was so clumsy and got in my way when my claws were unshelthed and I was chasing a squirrel with the same colored ginger red fur. And because Foxpaw is so small, it's hard to make out a difference," he said casually, licking his paw and drawing it over his ear.

Foxpaw hissed at him. "What?! Are you saying that I'm a squirrel? And I am not small! I'm just shorter than you because you're a Tom and you're older than me!"

He shrugged. "I didn't say that you were a squirrel Foxkit. You did."

She felt bubbly with rage but had to keep it contained or else she would be on even more trouble. She let out a shaky breath, but it wasn't shaky because she was scared. "Anyways Timberpaw. Do you have anything for these scratches?"

He nodded and disappeared for a moment and returned quickly with a small wad of herbs in his mouth. He started to chew some leaves, making them into a pulp and smeared it onto Foxpaw's flank. She flinched as the juice sank into her wound causing it to sting. He did the same thing for Tornadopaw. "Now just saying," Timberpaw said to Tornadopaw cleaning up. "You will probably have a scars because of that scratch."

Tornadopaw nodded but Foxpaw could see small happiness and pride shinning in his eyes. "Alright, thank you Timberpaw. I will be going now," he said and exited the den.

But then Timberpaw turned to Foxpaw. "Foxpaw, what really did happen out there? Tornadopaw's wound against his cheek are claw marks no doubt and why should be be chasing a squirrel? He was on a dawn patrol, not a hunting patrol. And it would be almost impossible to find any prey in this weather so don't tell me that Tornadopaw is telling the truth. I also noticed some obvious tension between you and him. What's going on? What really happened out there?"

Foxpaw sighed and shook her head as she made her way to the entrance of the den. "Nothing important," she said and exited the den without saying another word. She saw Tornadopaw padding towards the apprentices den in the rain, already almost there. Foxpaw followed him and blinked water droplets from her eyes. And by the time she ducked her head onto the apprentices den, Tornadopaw had already started to wash himself. She was still mad at what he did and what he said to her. Her flank still stung from the wound he gave her. She went to the exact opposite side of the den where her nest laid next to Nightpaw's, wishing he was there with her. Her pelt clung to her she she sat down and started to wash herself as well. Her and Tornadopaw didn't utter a word to each other, much less a word at all.

Once Foxpaw was done, she turned to see Tornadopaw's pelt already sleek and dry. He was curled up in a tight ball with his tail around his nose. His eyes were closed but his breath was uneven. That meant that he was still awake. Good.

"Tornadopaw?" Foxpaw asked tentatively.

He snorted and turned his head away from her. "What?" He snapped tiredly.
