16: You Look Like Death

Chapter 16

Harry's P.O.V

I stared at Niall as my eyes slowly widened. He couldn't like her, he said he didn't like her. Why would he lie? He told me everything was alright, he said that we were fine to date and he only saw Cassie as a sister. Shit, how could I not notice? All the times he would look away when we kissed, all the times he would shuffle his feet when we communicated in a loving way. I'm such a bad friend.

But wait...

What if he never said anything because they were doing something? The magazines always say they get a little too close, and the fact I went ahead and dated her anyway would give Niall the push to do something like that. What if Cassie likes him too? She wouldn't though, she says I'm her only, and Niall is like a brother, he wouldn't do that.... Would he? No of course not, I'm just being paranoid.

"W-what?"

"shhh." he slurred as he pushed a finger on my lips "Don't tell Harry!"

I nodded "Alright, you need to sleep though."

As soon as I said that Niall's head hit the pillow and small snores left his mouth. I let out a little groan as I got up from his bunk. What the hell am I meant to do? I can't stay with Cassie knowing how Niall feels, yet I'm the only one that knows right? Niall wouldn't remember this in the morning, so if I act like I don't know anything, I can get away with it right?

Niall would kill me if he ever found out that I knew, but I can't leave Cassie, I've done that once before and still haven't forgiven myself, maybe she has, but I haven't. That's what I'll have to do, forget, he sure will so it's all up to me now. That still doesn't help the fact that maybe there could be something going on between them. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, I'll just have to leave it.

I walked towards the bus door and stepped out, closing it behind me. I heard two voices faintly chatting as they headed up the path towards the green. The males head clicked up, as he looked at me a frown formed on his face.

"You alright Harry? You look like you've just seen a ghost."

"I'm fine Liam," I lied

"Is Niall alright?" he asked concerned.

"Passed out, like usual." I smirked

"Is he on his side? You know we don't want him choaking on his own sick." Liam frowned

"Yeah, he's settled. Where are you and Emily going?" I asked motioning to the brunette.

"To mine." she smiled, but her eyes widened as a smirk appeared on my face. "No! Not to um... I'm packing!"

"Packing?" I questioned

"She's coming on tour with El to keep Cassie sane, then she will head back before the start of Uni." Liam explained

"Great!" I smiled, I noticed Emily grin at Liam, more than friendship behind it. "Just be careful with the fans and paps, they can be harsh."

"I know." Emily frowned, but replaced it with a genuine smile "But I'm not letting them ruin my summer, or hanging with you guys."

"We've got it all covered, she's got her twitter account in private, and one of the techs are helping her mod it for the time being, and as for paps she has us to help." Liam smiled lovingly

"Well great to have you as part of the gang." I laughed, Emily's eyes sparkled at the words of being accepted.

"Thanks."

"Well we better get going, see you later Haz." Liam smiled.

The two of them headed of towards the green, I saw Emily laugh before she nudged Liam. They walked towards a parked taxi and got in. It's great to see Liam so happy, it's the first time since his and Danielle's brake up I've seen his smile reach his eyes. I turned towards the glowing on the beach. The camp fire was still going and Cassie's laugh rang out in the night air.
