Meeting Someone New (Toby McDonough/Before You Exit Love Story)

Chapter 9

*Anna's POV*

We were finally in New Jersey. My eyes were watering a little at the moment. Toby gently whipped the tears away.

I got up and smiled. Tonight was the concert and tomorrow we, well, THEY had a free day.

South Amboy was about 45 minutes from where the guys were performing. So it wasn't too bad. My aunt, Sue, decided to get us a driver for tomorrow. Or at least that's what Nick told me.

Before I knew it, I saw White Castle. "PULL OVER NOW!!" I yelled. Thankfully, their driver did.

As soon as the bus stopped, I sprinted towards the inside. I was craving one of their burgers for forever!

I quickly got in. I see two familiar hair styles. The two boys turn around. Could that be......

*Toby's POV*

I ran after Anna. Man she really must of loved this place. I know they don't have it down south, mostly cause I live there.

I caught up to her. She has a blank face. Two guys were looking at her.

I took her hand and smiled at her. She smiled back.

The taller blonde guy, who looks around my ages finally speaks. "Anna?" He questioned.

Anna quickly let go of my hand and ran towards him. She hugged the both of them.

I will admit it, I am jealous. But I know I shouldn't be so I try to let it NOT get to me.

"Cameron! Mark!" I heard Anna screech. I'm guessing they're some friends.

Anna gestured for me to come to her, so I did.

"Cameron, Mark; this is Toby, my boyfriend. Toby, these are my best friends from up North! Cameron is the blonde and Mark is the brunette."

I held out my hand and they both shook them. "Nice to meet you." I said politely. I could tell that they were a little upset Anna was with me, but I don't mind.

Anna ordered her food while Cameron, Mark, and I started to talk.

"So, how long have you known Anna?" Mark asked. "Three days..." I mumble. "Well, listen here, Anna means a lot to us. So if your little pop star butt hurts her, I'LL hurt you. Ok?" Cameron says in a whispered yell. I nodded.

Soon enough Anna comes back with the bag of food. She hugs them good bye. Anna and I walked hand in hand to the bus.

"So, do you like them?" Anna questioned me while taking a bite into the slider. I smiled. "Yup!" I said.

I saw Anna smile. She offered me one of her burgers, so I took one. After all, she got five of the things. But they were pretty small.

As soon as Anna finished, she got a call. It was her dad. She walked away and started to talk to him.

I went over to Riley. "Hey." I said nicely. "Hey." Riley said happy. I guess he found someone besides Anna.

"So tomorrow... I'm meeting Anna's family. Not her mom, dad, and sister, but the aunts, uncles, cousins and all. What do I do?" I asked nervously.

"Just treat them like they're Anna's first family. Be a gentleman and all that." Riley replied. "Ok..." I mumbled as I walk away. I was really nervous.

Anna walks out and gives me a kiss on the cheek. "You ok?" She asked. "Just a little nervous..." I said quietly. "Don't be, this part of my family are more easy going. You shouldn't have a problem. If you do, it's just gonna be: my uncles or Nick." She laughed.

I laced my fingers with her and smiled. I was the happiest person alive with her. Then Anna gets a text. I could feel her phone vibrate.

She got and almost passed out. "Anna?! Are you ok??" I asked worriedly. She points to the last part of the message. It reads : p.s this is Niall.

How the heck did he get her- Cody! Justin! That's how! Cody must've asked Justin. Oh well. I knew Anna and Niall wouldn't hook up. He's almost 20 and she's almost 13.

I kissed her on her cheek. "That's cool, babe." I said casually. She smiled. I saw her reply back. Then Anna was getting more texts. Family I guess.

Anna finally came over towards me.

*Anna's POV*

I had gotten a few texts from Mark and Cameron asking for me to go over to their place.

I was thinking I should since I haven't seen them in three years, and the concert was gonna be the same as the one in Georgia, so "why not?" I asked myself.

I got up and sat down next to Toby. I put my arms around his chest and he put his shoulder around me.

"Toby?" I questioned. "Yes, baby?" He quickly responded. I felt my cheeks heat up. He knew it made me feel so special when he calls me that.

"Mark and Cameron were wondering if I could hang with them tonight. Just until the bus party is over. Is that ok?" I ask a little worried he say no.

"Ok... But if they hurt you, I hurt them. Ok?" He questioned. I peck his cheek. It turns out their house was about 5 minutes away from the arena, so they just dropped me off.

As soon as I got there I found the boys had about four hours of nothing to do. I kinda felt bad. I introduced Toby to Mark, their dad, and Elang, their mom.

They're been like a family to me. Known them since birth. I could tell Mr. Constanzo was talking to Toby about like the whole "Break her heart, I will...etc."

Before he left, I gave Toby a kiss. "Don't let any tramps make you forget me, kay?" I giggled. Toby put his arms around my waist. "No one could ever make me forget you babe." He smirked.

He gave me a kiss then walked out the door. I felt my heart slow down. With Toby, my heart was beating faster. I guess love can actually change you.

Cameron, Mark, and I walk up to their room. They had bunks, and of course, Cameron was on the top.

I kept on asking so many questions cause I had to keep up. I kept on asking stuff like 'Where's Amanda?' (That's they're sister), 'Do you still have the go kart?' and 'Are you guys still in the band?'

It turns out, Amanda was in college becoming a nurse, they lost the go kart, and they still have a band and are currently looking for a singer.

"You should be our singer!" Make yelled with a smirk. I wondered why, but I quickly shook it off.

"Ehhh, better not can't sing..." I mumbled. Cameron moved over so he sat next to me. He put an arm around my shoulder.

"C'mon Anna! We know you can sing. Don't let the haters get to you." Cameron tried to comfort me. It put a smile on my face.

Afterwards, we just stayed inside playing Xbox and wii. I wish Toby was here though. He would've loved it. Starbucks was only a three minute walk.

>> later that evening <<

Cameron was getting close to me lately. Sure I liked him before, but that was when Bieber hair was in. I guess I still sorta like him, but I love Toby.

I got a text from Toby saying he's be here in 10 minutes. I said goodbye to the family, and Cameron walked me out.

"Thanks for having me over. I missed seeing you." I hugged him. "I've missed you too." He whispered.

I saw the bus pull up. Toby got out of the door. I saw him starting to walk over towards me. About eight feet away.

That's when the most craziest thing happened...
