She turns around and I hear her say,

"Jacob,look who's here!"

NO NO NO PLEASE NO. THIS ISNT HAPPENING.

Before I can even think what to do I grab Ethan's hand and start walking the other direction.

In the corner of my eye I see Jacob frown.

I bring Ethan to a table. We sit.

I don't want him to think I'm using him so here it goes...

"I've wanted to do that for a long time Ethan."

I might as well confess my "feelings" now.

I mean I don't like him that much but i do but i- this is confusing😕

"Really?" Ethan asks very shocked about what I said.

"Yeah."

"I feel the same way... I just... Didn't think you felt the same."

Probably because I didn't until now lol.

" I mean we don't have to run into a relationship right now but," I look at how our fingers are intertwined, " I like the feeling of this..."
I say blushing.

" I totally agree. I mean I don't want things to be awkward between us if we date so... best friends?"
He asks.

"best friends." I say squeezing his hand.

After that Ethan and I continue to explore Books&Co. We take a couple selfies and eat frozen yogurt.

" this is so much fun ethan." I say.

" right? This is great." He says grabbing my hand.

This feels so right! But all I can think about is when Jacob used to hold my hand. And how when I'd smile at him he'd blush.              It feels right... just not the same.. or how I want it too.

I'm not gonna let these thoughts ruin my day with Ethan.

We get tired of walking around so we decide to go home.
I left the house at about 11:30 maybe 12:00. And I arrived back at my house at 5:45.

I was opening the door to my house when Ethan started talking.

"Hey, I had fun today."

"So did I."

" I hope we can do this again."

"Definitely! Bye Ethan!"

"Bye Brook!"

I step inside and close the door.
I lean my back on it and wait a second.
Wow.

"Hey brookie!"

I snap out of my daze.

"Hi mom!"

"How was your date?"  She asks.

"It was not a 'date' mom but I had fun."

"That's great, there's pizza in the kitchen if you want some."

"Yay!" I say running into the kitchen.

I take one slice of pizza and put it on a plate.
I put the plate on the table and grab the whole pizza box and take it to my room.

woah, I have a lot of texts on my phone.

Ally: hey gurl;)

Ethan: (Image Message)

I smile at the picture of Ethan and I.

I don't know if I'm ready for a relationship.

Well Ethan would never hurt me...
Then again that's what Jacob told me...

Just as I thought of that I get another text from... take a guess.

Jacob.

Jacob: that really hurt my feelings brook.

huh?

Me: what?

Jacob: oh stop acting like you don't know😒

Me: ?

Jacob: you and Ethan. I saw you guys.
           Did you do that on purpose?

Me: no, he actually likes me,
unlike some people

Jacob: I do like you!
         Listen I made
        a mistake, I wish
     you'd forgive me.

Me: too bad some wishes
don't come true.

I turn off my phone and don't wait for a response. I'm really mad at him. I know I sound mean but I don't care.

I eat pizza and fall asleep watching Netflix.
