I've been trying to shake off the whole "ashtin" thing. But they've been talking more and more. And when I say talking I don't mean just texting. They hang out at the mall, school, even the park. The park is supposed to be Jacob and I's place.
Not Ashtin, Jacob and my place. :/

Anyway Mario just left back to Florida and I'm pretty bummed. He was really fun to hang out with and I'm gonna miss him. But I'm sure Ally's gonna miss him a million times more.

Oh & did I mention that I have a new neighbor.
A boy and girl (both my age) moved next door. I know the girls name is Emily but I'm not sure the boys name.
I saw the boy taking out the trash yesterday and he seems cute but idk yet....

I'm sitting on a tree swing listening to music when Ally sits next to me.

"hey brooklynn."

"hi." I say back.

There's silence for a second.

"i miss mario."

I see her eyes glaze over.

I pull her into a hug.

"we'll go visit him soon." I say into her shoulder.

"okay." She says into my shoulder.

I hear people talking near by.

Aww hell nah.

Jacob&Ashtin.

All nonchalantly walking around the neighborhood together.

It's like his doing it just to annoy me. Does he want to end this "relationship"? So help me God.

I pretend to not see him.

"Hey Brook!" He yells to me.

I have headphones in so I pretend not to hear him either.

He keeps walking with Ashtin.

Ally gets up and I hit her arm. She walks toward Jacob and Ashtin.

"Hey guys!" Ally says to them.

"Hi Ally!" Jacob and Ashtin say at the same time.
They giggle together.

They make me sick. I pretend that I'm jamming out to my music while I listen to their
conversation.

I don't hear the rest of their conversation but I do hear laughing.
Soon after that Ally walks back to sit with me.

"Jacob says hi...and he wants to talk at the park at 4:30..." Ally says.

"Oh great," I huff " he's the last person I want to talk to right now."

Silence.

"... well I gotta go... See ya later!" Ally says leaving.

"bye." I mumble.

I walk inside with my headphones still in.

I try to walk past my mom but she stops me.

"Hey Brook, we're having dinner with the new neighbors tonight."

"When?" I say almost immediately.

"4 o' clock." She responds.

"Alright, I'll get ready then!"

I go upstairs and text Jacob.

Me: Sorry, I can't go to the park.
I have family plans.

Jacob💘: Oh it's fine.

Me: maybe we can hang tomorrow?

Jacob💘: Sounds good!

Me: I'll see you tomorrow😌bye

Jacob💘: bye

I toss my phone on my bed and get dressed.

I put on a shirt that has a tiny alien head in the corner with some ripped jeans and converse.
