"Did you like the movie love?" I asked, wrapping an arm around her waist once I saw a suspicious man staring at her arse. "I did. It was better than I thought it would be." she nodded obliviously and we walked to the car. "Where're we going again?" "IHOP. Isn't that what you said?" "Yeah. I think there's one a few blocks from here." "There is. In you go now darling." I smiled, opening the passenger door for her. "Thank you. Such a gentleman." she chuckled. "Not for very long." I said and shook my head, walking around to the drivers side an getting into the car. "Where's the nearest IHOP?" I mumbled, scrolling though my apps list, looking for Google Maps. "Oooh ooh! Lemme give he directions! I'm awesome at it!" she squealed, reaching for my phone. Raising my eyebrow I filled with doubt and reluctantly gave her the phone. "Okay Get out of the parking lot." she sad robotically, reading from the screen. "Ah, figures. I thought we were goin to get there just by sitting here." I said sarcastically, gripping the head of the passenger seat and turning my head to back out of the space. She looked ad me and glared, raising her pointer finger and waving it round. "No mocking." she ordered. "Yes ma'am." "Better. Take a turn on Amethyst Drive and keep straight for 5 and a half miles, which is about 5 minutes." "Turn right or left?" I asked, pulling up to the section. "Uhhh..." she said and ruffled her hair, squinting at the screen. "C'mon love, I'm holding up traffic." I commented, looking behind us at the 3 cars lined behind. "Mhm, just a sec..." she mumbled. A car beeped behind us. "Angel..." I sighed. "Uhhhh.....huh....." she nodded slowly, scanning the screen. Another beep. "Right, or left?" I yelled impatiently. "Left! It's left!!" she screamed and I quickly turned the wheel an raced off in the direction. "Uh-oh.: she said after a while. "Hm?" "We were supposed to turn right...." she said and smiled sheepishly at me. I breathed out i frustration and drove into the turning lane. "Oops." she giggled. "You should be lucky that I can't get mad at you." "Oh I am."

When we got to the restaurant I opened the door for her and she smiled, giving me my phone. "Vincent? Brunch for two?" the hostess smiled. "Yeah. That's us." "I still can't believe that your last name is Vincent." she chuckled. The hostess walked us to our booth and set out the napkins, silverware, and menus. "Your waitress will be Annabelle, as requested." she said and walked away. "You requested a waitress?" "Nope, she, always requests me." I shrugged and watched as my sister rushed over to us, smoothing out her outfit. "Good morning Ethan! I hope you don't mind me interrupting your date."she greeted and kissed me on the cheek. "I never do." "Are you guys like..." Jade started, gesturing to us. "Brother and sister." I corrected. "Hi, I'm Annabelle Vincent. Ethan's my brother. You are..." "Jade. Ethan's uh...roommate." she smiled, looking me for a quick second before going back to Annabelle. "Oh okay. Well, nice to meet you. Ethan, I really hate to pull you away, but could I please talk to you for a moment?" she asked politely. "Of course. I'll be right back lovely, order me a coffee." I smiled at her and she nodded, looking down at the menu. Once we were both outside she sighed and smiled at me. "Ethan! I'm so freaking proud of you!" she squealed. I furrowed my eyebrows and shook y head. "What are you talking about?" "That girl! You are such an underestimater. You think I don't see the way you look at her??" she laughed. "I, I don't look at her in anyway." I rolled my eyes and sat on the bench. "Ethan Gregory Vincent. You re falling in love with her." "I've known 'er for a week and a half!" "So? You fell in love with Danielle in simple hours. Ethan, I know you don't believe in yourself, but you have to right now. I's the only way out of this hole that you're digging yourself into." "What hole?" "The, 'My girlfriend just died' hole. The 'I'll never find love again.' hole. That hole, Ethan." she said and crossed her arms. I hated when girls do that. Why dd they have to be so freaking intimidating? "It's true...I'm done for Annabelle." I sighed, looking at Jade through the window who was talking with the waiter. "You aren't and Ill show you." she said and "hmph"ed, walking back into the restaurant. I reluctantly followed her. "I got this Marcus." she said. "You didn't have it five minutes ago, I did." he said smugly. "Well I got it now. Go away." she said and narrowed her eyes again. Just like that he was gone. It works on everyone doesn't it.... "How was your talk? Obviously important." Jade commented, sipping her lemonade. "It wasn't." I shook my head dismissively. "Ah, you big fat liar. Your face is red and your sweating. And your eyebrow twitched." she shrugged. "Did you order for me, darling?" I said quickly. She looked up and quirked an eyebrow but nodded and set down her drink. "Yes. Simple pancakes, sausage and bacon, and scrambled eggs. Was that okay?"she said changing the subject. "It's perfect." "Good. It should be ready in fifteen minutes." She nodded and took out her phone, and I could hear the sound of her fingers tapping the technological keyboard. She stopped suddenly and looked up at me, a sheepish grin on her face. "Is this a date? Do I have to not be on my phone? I'm sorry." she giggled nervously and shut off the screen, shoving it into her pocket. "No no, don't mind me. I'm just paying, that's all." I said, rolling my eyes with a smile. "I'm not good at this." she blushed. "Then I will teach you." And with that she turned into a giggling mess as I started to tell her all about my sister.
