Part 1: Santa Claus Is Comin To Town! And Also Ethan's Mom...
"Hey yo, Vincent! Your girlfriend's here!" Damien said, poking his head into the doorway. "By the way, she is smokin!" His American accent was thick and it took me a second to realize that he was saying he was attractive. "She's mine." I glared and he rolled his eyes walking back to his corridor. She came into the doorway and combed through her hair, parting in to the right (a look that made her seem even more attractive in my eyes) and smoothed out her dress, then walking up and taping on my desk. She was wearing a sleeveless white with black polka dot dress, a long sleeved black sweater and long white boots. "Hi Ethan!" she chirped an scurried over to jump into my lap. "Princess! What're you doing here?" I laughed, kissing her cheek. "Well, Santa Claus came to town!" "Did he?" "Uh-huh! And also your mom. You mom is here. And she is in the lobby, with Annabelle, as we speak." she added. My mother... Genevieve Vincent. I hadn't seen her since I left for college. "My mother's here? I haven't seen her in years that's great!!" I grinned, but Jade's face read pure annoyance and anger, and she got up and started pacing around my rather large office. "That's...not great, love what's wrong?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows and she looked at me as I walked around the desk . "Ethan, remember when we first met? When you said that each roommate you had always went into their sob story?" "Yes...I do?" I hummed, waiting for her to continue. "Well when I asked for your story, you told me that your parents were dead. But no. Apparently their both alive. Your father has Down Syndrome and your mother left when you were 8. And that explains why you lived with your grandparents. But she came back when you were 16 and reconnected. Isn't that true?" she said and stopped, turning to me. "I-I, I'm sorry that I lied to you love. I-" "Ethan, I know what you're gonna say and I don't need a romantic spiel from you about how sorry you are and how much you love me and would do anything for me. Though it is extremely appreciated, I already know. Either way though, Annabelle and, Genevieve, both want to have Christmas dinner with us. She rented out a beach house close by. We have to stay there." she smiled and reached up to kiss my nose. I gasped falsely. "Have you gotten taller??" "A little. Now I'm 5'8." "Well would you look at that! Now I'm only 9 inches taller than you!" I chuckled. "C'mon, let's go." she rolled her eyes and I nodded. We both walked out and down to the lobby when I saw her. She was just like I remembered right before I left England. Her face was bight and she was wearing a short and frilly dress, her hair done in a high ponytail. She was twirling back and forth with Annabelle by her side when she looked at me and dropped her purse."E-Ethan?" she whispered and all of a sudden I felt like I was a little boy again. "Mum!" I squealed and she ran right into my arms. Annie and Jade both giggled, hugging each other before running to my sides. "Oh all of my favorite girls." I grinned and they all laughed. "I've missed you so much my sweet boy." Mum mumbled before releasing and grabbing her purse. "Come love, I've rented out a house that we can all stay in for Christmas." she smiled. "That sounds lovely mum. Will you be there to Annabelle?" "Oh I wouldn't miss it for the world!" she grinned and looped her arm with Mum's and I wrapped an arm around Jade's waist as we all walked towards the exit. "Goodness, I can't believe your a lawyer now. You must be so smart." she chuckled. "Just good colleges mum." "Ethan Gregory Vincent, can't ever take a compliment." Jade laughed and hailed down a cab.
Part 2: It's Christmas in the KitchenJade and my mother were off cooking in the kitchen while Annie and I were setting up the tree. "Isn't this exciting Ethan? Mum's finally spending Christmas with us!" Annie giggled. "More surprising than exciting. Gosh, I haven't seen her in almost 5 years." "I know, but all of that stuff is in the past now. We can finally move on, be a family." Annie smiled. "I would love to see that happen." I chuckled and she kissed my cheek. "Go see what they're doing in there. I'll finish up. I know you just wanna be with your little princess all day." she laughed and I smiled gratefully, walking into the doorway. I smiled at Jade, who was a giggling mess while rubbing the raw chicken with oil and seasoning. "So, how is Ethan?" my mother suddenly asked. "I'm sorry?" "Well I haven't always been the best mother, but I just hope I've raised my boy as well as he thinks I have. And I just hope that he treats you the way women are supposed to be treated." "With respect?" "With love, and respect." she corrected. "He does Ms. Vincent. I promise. He's just...amazing." she said breathlessly. "I know he is. Tell me, what do you love about him most?" "Oh god, where do I start? He's so attractive, and I know I sound so terrible when I say that, but he has this way of being really sexy but also just beautiful at the same time." Jade smiled and Mum looked at me with a smirk plastered on her face. "And he's smart and funny, and so incredibly sweet. And he can cook well and clean and he's responsible and he's kind of controlling and dominant but also understanding. And he's so...affectionate. All the time. So caring. And sometimes he just sits and stares at me with this loving look in his eyes. And that's how he makes me feel. Loved. With the way my life's been, I haven't really been able to feel that way with people. But Ethan's this amazing person that makes me feel worth it. Feel special. He treats me like I'm this perfect jewel, like I'm on a higher pedastol. I try to be as great as he wants me to be, but see,
I just went though this really bad breakup right before leavin' for college and it kind messed me up really bad and now I'm in this little space where I need to be taken care of or else I'll fall apart. And Ethan always seems to be strong. Wait, what was the question?" I could tell my face was red since I was blushing so hard. "It really seems like you love him." Mum observed. "I do." she nodded, washing her hands. "Do you think he knows that?" "Whatta ya mean?" "I mean that it's fairly evident that he expresses his love for you in so many ways. Do you do the same?" "Um, w-well... Actually not really..." Jade mumbled and gasped, smacking her wet and greasy hands into her face. "Oh my gosh! I'm a terrible girlfriend!" she wailed and slammed her head into the chicken. "Oh love, that's not true!" I said finally and Mum nodded at me, kissing my cheek and leaving us alone in the room. "I'm a terrible princess. I'm sorry I don't profess my love to you Ethan." she whimpered and I pulled her up so she would look at me, and she quickly ran into my arms. "Oh baby, it's okay. You know I don't need you to do all of that. I'm just here to make you feel loved, and worth it, and special." I giggled. "And also I'm here to be really sexy but also really beautiful and-" "Ethan." she groaned and looked at me. "Were you listening?" "Mhm..." I smiled and she groaned. "Embarrassing." she mumbled. "Baby girl, you're so adorable."
