My Little Brave

Chapter 4

Moments later, the ships were arriving at the docks of Canterlot. The leader of the Unicornia clan named Fancy Pants was looking at the castle with pride when he heard something. He turned to see the leader of the Pegasopolis clan named Flash Sentry laughing as his ship was catching up with Fancy Pants's. They then both heard laughing, so they turned to see the leader of the Dirtville clan named Dr. Whooves laughing at them as his ship was catching up to Fancy Pants's and Flashy Sentry's ship. They glared at one another, and they all raced to the docks. Inside the castle, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo got together, and they cut half of one of the pony guard's mane off. They took off as he woke up. Seeing that there was nopony there, the pony guard went back to sleep. Inside the throne room, Rarity was gathering everypony together as she said "Places everypony! Places!" They all got into position as Rainbow Dash sat down on her throne, despite the difficulty of her dress, and pulled a part of her mane down her face. Rarity tucked it in her dress, and Rainbow Dash sighed in annoyance. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo ran into the throne room, and sat on their bench. Rarity glared at Big Mac, and pinched him as he said "I look fine! Leave me be!" Rainbow Dash glared at her mother a she pulled the part of her mane down.

"The clans have arrived." Two pony guards said at the same time as they opened the doors with their magic, and the leaders of the clans walked in with their respective members of their clans following them. The clans cheered, and then they settled down. "So, here we are!" Big Mac said as he stood up from his throne. "The four clans! Uh..gathering..uh..for..." Rarity who was exasperated by her husband's slowness, stood up from her throne, and said "The presentaion of the sutiors!" Everypony cheered, and Rainbow Dash just sighed in annoyance. "Clan Unicornia!" Big Mac said. Fancy Pants stepped forward, and said "Your majesty, I present my heir and sire, Sunset Glare, who defended our land from the Appleloosa invaders, and with his own sword, stabbed and vanquished thousands more. Sunset Glare stepped up, and showed off. Rainbow Dash was not impressed by him at all as she hoofpalmed herself. "Clan Pegasopolis!" Big Mac said. Flash Sentry stepped forward, and said "Your majesty, I present my eldest son, Soarin, who scuttle the war ships with his bare hooves. Vanquished two thousand more. Soarin broke a plank of wood in half to show his strength, and the crowd cheered as Rainbow Dash just stared. "Clan Dirtville." Big Mac said. Rainbow Dash suddenly became interested in the earth pony named Hoity Toity as Dr. Whooves said "I present my only son, who was besieged by ten thousand pony soldiers, and he took their whole armor single hoofedly, with one hoof. He was-." He stopped talking when he saw his son behind Hoity Toity. He pulled his son named Hayseed Turnip Truck as he said "With one hoof, he was steering the ship, and with the other, he held his mighty sword, and struck down a whole attacking fleet."

Then, a voice in the crowd said "Lies!" "What? I heard that?" Dr. Whooves said. "Yes! Say it to my face! Or are you a scared sniffling jackanape? Afraid to muss your pretty mane?" "At least we have mane!" Fancy Pants said. "And all our teeth!" Flash Sentry said. Sorain tried to talk, but his accent was so thick that nopony could understand him. "And we don't hide under breeches, you grumpy old troll!" Fancy Pants said as he, and everypony laughed. "You wanna laugh, huh?" Dr. Whooves asked. "Haysee Turnip Truck!" Suddenly as the music started playing, Hayseed Turnip Truck attacked Fancy Pants, and the clans started fighting with one another. Rainbow Dash sighed in exasperation as Big Mac cheered until he saw Rarity glaring at him. Big Mac sighed, and said "All right." He stood up from his throne, and said "CUT IT!" The music and the fighting suddenly stopped. "Now that's all done!" Big Mac said. "You've had your go at each other, show a little decorum. But no more fighting!" But then, Scootaloo took a club, and wacked Dr. Whooves's hoof. He yelled in pain, and the music and the fighting started again. Even Big Mac, and the cutie mark crusaders got in on the action. Rarity finally had enough of the fighting, so she stood up from her throne, and walked to the clan leaders, and her husband as the ponies bowed, and moved to let the queen pass. When Rarity reached the clan leaders, and Big Mac, the music and fighting stopped. She pulled them by their ears with her magic while the stallions yelled in pain. "Sorry, my queen." Fancy Pants said "I feel terrible. My humblest apologies." "Sorry." Dr. Whooves said. "No disrespect." Flash Sentry said. "Sorry, love." Big Mac said. "I-I didn't-." Rarity looked away in silence as Big Mac said "Yes dear."

As Big Mac sat down on his throne, Rarity cleared her throat, and said "Now then, where were we? Ah, yes. In accordance with our laws, by the rights of our heritage, only the first born of each of the great leaders may be presented as champion." "First born?" Rainbow Dash muttered as she heard what her mother had said. "And thus compete for the hoof of the princess of Canterlot. To win the fair mare, they must prove their worth by hooves of strengths in the games." Rarity said. "It is customary for the challenge be determined by the princess herself." Rainbow Dash smiled as she quickly stood up from her throne, and said "Archery! Archery!" Rarity looked at her daughter sternly. Rainbow Dash then cleared her throat, and gracefully said "I choose archery." Rarity turned to the crowd, and said "Let the games begin!" The ponies cheered, and applauded as the went outside to the backyard to begin the games.
