Chapter 8

When Rarity fully recovered, she turned to see a bear shadow, and growled in terror as she backed away in fear, and placed her paw in front of her daughter to protect her. Rainbow Dash looked at Rarity who growled as if to say something, but Rainbow Dash screamed in terror. Rarity then looked down at her paws, and gasped in shock. She felt her face, and got out a small mirror from the bottom drawer. She looked at her reflection, and she growled in terror as she backed away, and crashed onto her bed. She got up, and started tearing up the room in fear. She landed on the floor, and a tapestry fell on her head. "Mom, you're...you're a bear!" Rainbow Dash said as Rarity recovered. "Why a bear?! Oh, that scaffie zebra gave me a gammy spell!" Rarity stared at her daughter in shock. "It's not my fault!" Rainbow Dash said. "I didn't ask her to change you into a bear. I just wanted her to change...you." Rarity roared at Rainbow Dash in anger as if to say "WHAT?!?!?!" In the throne room, Big Mac heard that, and shushed everypony as he said "Did you hear that?" He sniffed around, and said "Something's not right."

In the bedroom, Rarity paced back and forth in frustration as if she was telling her daughter off. "There's no point in having a go at me!" Rainbow Dash said. "Zecora is to blame! Shifty zebra!" As Rarity placed her crown on her head, Rainbow Dash said "I'll go over to her place. Unbelievable! I'll get her to fix this." In the throne room, Big Mac sniffed around, and said "Everypony, follow me, and keep a sharp eye." "Here we go." Dr. Whooves said. "Another hunt through the castle." "We haven't had dessert yet!" Flash Sentry said. "Let's go." Soarin said. "You heard him." Sunset Glare said looking at Hayseed Turnip Truck. "Let's go." Upstairs, Rarity walked out the door as Rainbow Dash said "Mom, you can't go out there!" She flew in front of her mother, and blocked her as she said "Mom! What are you doing?! Dad! The bear king! If he so much as sees you, you're dead!" She heard her dad, and the other ponies coming towards them, and she turned to see Rarity going in a different direction as she whispered out "Mom!" She ran to follow her mother as her father sniffed, and followed. Rainbow Dash blocked Rarity as she said "Mom! Wait! We have to-!" Rairty then bumped into a candleholder, and Big Mac heard the noise as he said "Follow me!" Rainbow Dash stopped her mother as she whispered out "Stop! Stop! We have to get out of here!"

Suddenly, they turned to see Coco Pommel staring at them in shock. Rarity waved at her, and growled as if to say "Hi." Coco Pommel screamed in terror, and ran off. Rainbow Dash glared at her mother as she said "Now you've done it!" Coco Pommel screamed as she ran, but stopped when a sword blocked her. She turned to see Big Mac who said "Coco!" As Coco Pommel stuttered, Big Mac said "Just calm down, Coco. What is it?" Coco Pommel still stuttered, so Big Mac said "Spit it out, already!" "BEAR!" Coco Pommel shouted. "I knew it!" Big Mac said as he and the other ponies ran off. "Look, just listen to me!" Rainbow Dash said to her mother. "We can't go this way! You'll be seen!" They saw a shadow, and Rainbow Dash said "Quick, this way!" She ran in one direction, and her mother ran in the other direction. When she realized that her mother wasn't following her, she turned around, and said "Mom?!" Rarity ran into the trophy room, and closed the door. She gasped when she saw the cutie mark crusader princesses playing with the trophy pieces. They stopped what they were doing, and stared at their mother in shock. Rainbow Dash ran and hid from Big Mac and the other ponies who ran off. She sighed with relief, but tripped, and fell on a box. She recovered, and entered the trophy room to see her mother making her sisters put the trophies in their proper place.

When they finished, the cutie mark crusader princesses looked at Rainbow Dash as Apple Bloom said "What happened to mom, big sis?!" "A zebra turned mom into a bear. It's not my fault! We got to get out of the castle, and I need your help!" "I don't know." Scootaloo said. "What's in it for us?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Yeah, what's in it for us?" Apple Bloom asked. Rainbow Dash sighed, and said "Oh, alright! You can have my desserts for two...three weeks!" The cutie mark crusader princesses raised their eyebrows at her as Scootaloo said "Really? Is that all?" "I don't think that's enough." Sweetie Belle said. "Yeah!" Apple Bloom said. Rainbow Dash sighed again, and said "Okay, fine! A year!" The cutie mark crusader princesses looked at each other, and looked at their big sister as Apple Bloom said "Deal."
