Chapter 7

After the payment has been paid, Zecora walked out of her cottage as Rainbow Dash said "Where are you going?" Zecora closed the cottage door, and stomped on her hoof a couple of times as Rainbow Dash said "What are you doing?" "Never conjure where you carve, very important." Zecora said. She opened the cottage door, and the inside of the cottage had been changed. Rainbow Dash followed Zecora inside the cottage as the magical zebra said "The last time I did this was for a prince." "Easy on the eye." The crow said as Zecora clapped her hooves, and the inside of the cauldron glowed. "Fantastic." "He demanded that I give him the strength of ten stallions, and he gave me this." Zecora said as she showed Rainbow Dash a silver coin with a moon and a star on it. "For a spell. A spell that would change his fate." "And did he get what he was after?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Oh! Yes!" Zecora said. "And made off with an especially attractive mahogany cheese board." She then put in all of the necessary ingredients, even a lock of Rainbow Dash's mane into the cauldron, and mixed it all together. Zecora, Rainbow Dash, and the crow closed their eyes as a bright light exploded, startling Derpy Hoof who was waiting outide. When the spell was done, Zecora said "Now, let;'s see. What have we here?" She then fished out a small strawberry jam-filled cake out of the potion, and placed it on the table. The crow tried to pick at it, but Zecora stopped him. "Uh...a cake?" Rainbow dash asked.

"You don't want it?" Zecora asked. "Yes! I want it!" Rainbow Dash said. "You're sure that if I give this to my mom, it will change my fate?" "Oh, trust me!" Zecora said. "It'll do the trick, young mare." As Rainbow Dash walked out of the cottage, Zecora said "Expect delivery of your purchase within a fortnight." As Rainbow Dash walked away, Zecora began to mutter as she said "Oh! Oh! What was that thing about the spell?" She walked back into the cottage as Rainbow Dash said "Did you say something...about...the spell?" She stopped when she saw that the cottage, and Zecora had disappeared. Back in the castle in Canterlot, Big Mac was entertaining the ponies as they sang a song, and danced. Rainbow Dash and Derpy had arrived, and Rainbow Dash quietly made her way to the kitchen. She made some tea, and put it in a small cup. Then she took out the strawberry jam-filled cake out of a small bag, and placed it on a small plate. She then put a small fork on the tray, and put some blueberries on the plate. Finally, she put a blue flower on the plate. Suddenly, Rarity walked into the kitchen, and said "Rainbow Dash!" "Mom!" Rainbow Dash said feeling surprised. "Oh...uh...I...um." "Oh, I've been worried sick!" Rarity said.

"You...You were?" Rainbow Dash asked. Her mother nodded, and said "I didn't know where you'd gone or when you'd come back! I didn't know what to think!" She gasped at her daughter's torn dress, and said "Oh, look at your dress, darling!" "Oh, Derpy threw me." Rainbow Dash said. "But I'm not hurt." "Well, you're home now." Rarity said. "So, that's the end of it." "Honestly?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I've pacified the pony lords for now." Rarity said. "Your father's out there entertaining them." In the throne room, Big Mac was singing a song, and dancing while Fancy Pants, Flash Sentry, and Dr. Whooves glared at him. Back in the kitchen, Rarity smiled, and said "Of course, we both know a decision still has to be made." Rainbow Dash sighed, picked up the tray she set earlier, and showed it to her mother. Rarity tilted her head in confusion, and said "What's this?" "It's a peace offering." Rainbow Dash said. "I made it for you." Rarity picked up the plate and fork with her magic, and said "You made this for me?" Rainbow Dash nodded, and Rarity took a small slice of the strawberry jam-filled cake, and ate it. Her face suddenly twisted as her daughter said "How do you feel?" "What...What is that?" Rarity asked. "Different?" Rainbow Dash asked hoping that her mother would change her mind about the wedding. "Tart, and um...gamy!" Rarity said as she started to feel sick, and placed the plate on the table. "Have you changed your mind at all about the marriage, and all that?" Rainbow Dash asked as Rarity drank some tea, and gargled it to get rid of the taste of the strawberry jam-filled cake.

After she finished her tea, Rarity said "Now, why don't we go upstairs to the pony lords, and put this whole kerfuffle to rest?" They walked up the stairs, and Rarity suddenly started to feel dizzy as she said "Oh!" "Mother?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I'm woozy suddenly." Rarity said. "Oh, my head's spinning like a top." She almost fell, but Rainbow Dash caught her as she said "Mom!" "Oh!" Rarity said. "Suddenly I'm not so well." "Uh...how do you feel about the marriage now?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Rainbow Dash!" Rarity said. "Ah! Will you take me to my room?" They entered the throne room, and Fancy Pants, Flash Sentry, and Dr. Whooves saw Rarity. They went up to her as Flash Sentry said "Queen Rarity! We've been waiting, patiently." "My pony lords, I am out of sorts at the moment." Rarity said. "But you shall have your answer-." She suddenly burped much to the dismay of Fancy Pants, Flash Sentry, and Dr. Whooves. "Presently." Rairty said finished her sentence. "Now, if you'll excuse us." Big Mac fired an arrow on the suffed bear that was on his throne on the nose, and the crowd cheered as Rarity and Rainbow Dash made their way up the stairs. "Rarity? Are you all right?" Big Mac asked. "I'm fine, darling." Rarity said. They entered Rarity's bedroom, and Rainbow Dash helped her mother onto the bed.

As she pulled the blanket over her mother, Rainbow Dash said "Just take all the time you need to get yourself right, mom. And maybe in a bit, you might have something new to say on the marriage?" "What was in that cake?" Rarity asked. Rainbow Dash scoffed, and said "Cake!" Suddenly Rarity rolled out of bed in pain, and Rainbow Dash said "Mom? So, I...I'll just tell them that the wedding's off then?" She heard a growling noise from the side where Rarity rolled onto, and she said "Mom?" She walked to the side of the bed to where Rarity rolled onto to see if her mother is fine. She saw a giant shape taking form under the blanket, and it rose up. The blanket fell off, and Rainbow Dash gasped. The bear that appeared suddenly, and Rainbow Dash screamed in terror as she backed away in terror as she realized what had happened. Her mother had transformed into a bear, because of the fact that she ate that strawberry jam-filled cake. "BEAR!!!" Rainbow Dash said in complete horror.
