Chapter 11

After they finished bonding over catching fish, Rarity started walking off into the forest. Rainbow Dash followed her as she said "Hey, where are you going?!" As she ran up to her mother, she said "Mom, come back!" Rarity looked at her daughter, and growled at her as she began to act more like a bear. She advanced on her daughter who backed away in fright, and said "Mom, is that you?" Rarity growled, and went to attack Rainbow Dash who yelped in fright, but she stopped herself as she began to remember who she is. "Uh, mom?" Rainbow Dash asked as her mother backed away from her. "You changed! Like you were a...I mean, like you were a bear on the inside." Suddenly, they spotted a will-o-wisp behind them as Rainbow Dash said "A wisp!" Rarity then ran towards the will-o-wisp, and tried to catch it, but it disappeared. It appeared again as she tried catching it again, and Rainbow Dash said "Mom! Stop it!" The will-o-wisp appeared above her head, and Rarity tried to grab it as Rainbow Dash said "Mom, no!" Rarity chased after the will-o-wisp as Rainbow Dash said "Mom!" Rarity continued to chase after the will-o-wisp until she bumped into a tree.

"Oh for Celestia's sake!" Rainbow Dash muttered as she ran to mother who struggled to recover. "Mom, I know you're scared. You're tired, and you don't understand, but we've got to keep our heads! Just calm down. Listen." They looked around, and they spotted a trail of will-o-wisps. Rainbow Dash looked at her mother as she said "They'll show us the way. They then began following the trail of will-o-wisps. Moments later, they arrived on a foggy hill as the will-o-wisps disappeared one by one. As the fog started to lift, they came across an entrance to an abandoned kingdom. "Mom, look!" Rainbow Dash said. "Why did the wisps bring us here?" They climbed up some stairs, and they reached the top. "Whoever they were, they've been gone for a long, long tim-!" Rainbow Dash tried to say, but she yelped when she fell through the floor. she quickly flapped her wings to prevent herself from crashing into the ground. She landed safely on the ground as Rarity looked down at her, and growled at her as if she was asking if she's ok. Rainbow Dash looked up at her mother as she said "I'm fine, mom! Just fine!" She looked around as she said "It's a...throne room. Do you suppose this could have been the kingdom in that story you were telling me? The one with the princes?"

Then, Rainbow Dash spotted a stone with three pony figures, and a split stone with the fourth figure on it. "One, two, three, four." Rainbow Dash said. "The oldest. Like...Like the tapestry!" She then remembered the time she slashed the tapestry with the sword, and she thought about Prince Artemis slashing at the stone with an axe as he began to transform into Discord. "The spell!" She said as she realized that this had happened before. "It's happened before!" She saw the bones all over the floor, and she remembered what Zecora said to her as she said "The strength of ten stallions. Fate be changed. Changed with fate." At that moment, she realized that Discord was actually Prince Artemis as she said "Oh no! Prince Artemis became..." She was interrupted when she heard the sound of growling from behind her. She looked behind her, and she gasped in fear as she said "Discord!" Rarity roared as Discord roared at Rainbow Dash who began shooting arrows at him. Discord chased after Rainbow Dash as she kept shooting arrows at him. Discord then jumped at Rainbow Dash, but she narrowly dodged him as she flew out of the hole. Discord popped out of the hole, but Rarity pushed a pillar on top of Discord's head. Then Rainbow Dash and Rarity made a run for it. Once they were able to escape from Discord, they stopped at the Ring of Stones. "Mom, we need to get back to the castle." Rainbow Dash said. Rarity roared in shock as if she's asking her daughter if she was crazy. "If we don't hurry, you'll become like Discord!" Rainbow Dash said. "A bear! A real bear! Forever! Mend the bond torn by pride. Zecora gave us the answer. The tapestry!" They then took off to the castle in Canterlot.
