Sweet Moments

Catherine POV

We all went to Beth's house. Everyone except Alexander and me went to the living room. I guess they knew we needed alone time. I started making coffee. "Can you at least tell me about your past." Alex says. I stop making coffee and turn around. "Okay," I say as I look to his eyes, "When I was 16 this boy I liked hurt me, I thought he wouldn't do that he was so nice but I guess everyone has a beast inside. I forget that some boys aren't like that. Most boys I seen are all rude."

Alexander POV

When she finished I stepped closer to her she didn't move so I took another step. Their was a bit of space between us. I lifted her chin up. She looked at me searching my face and eyes to see if I had a beast inside. "I promised my father that if I ever found my mate I will cherish her and treat her like a queen. My father died when I was 12 and my mother died some time after when I was 16. Lucas took me in. Can you try to understand that I'm not like one of the bad guys." She noded I continued "I know that look I know you are hiding something. I will wait untill you feel ready to tell me." I kiss her forehead then I notice she wrapped her arms around my waist. I did the same thing and pressed my cheek on her head. We stayed like that for a few minutes.

Catherine POV

I felt sorry for him losing his parents at a young age. I guess we were both broken. I heard a knock on the door. I went to go get it. "Oh, hey Ben, Beth is in the living room." I say. Ben's rank is a third in command in his pack. Ben is Beth's mate, he found her a few days after Beth lost her older sister, Clarisse, she went missing. Ari had an older brother once but he died in a fire, his name was Richard. I have an older sister she is still alive her name is Whitney. I catch up with everyone who is now in the kitchen, totally forgeting about the unmade coffee. I see Alex talking to the girl I still didn't know. Don't worry it's his sister Ava says. How do you know that? I ask, Because unlike you I pay attention she says, Rude I reply. I look around and I see Ari hugging Lucas and Beth holding Bens hand. Aww so cute. I turn to see Alex and he is staring at me I look away, my cheeks burning. Beth and Ben go to the living room. Ari and Lucas go to the dining room. "Um Catherine?" The girl asks. "Yes." I reply. "My name is Rosa do you know where the bathroom is?" She asks politely. "Oh yeah down this hallway to the right." I inform her. "Thank you." She says. Alex stands there awkwardly. "Let me show you something." I say. "Okay." He says. Then we walk to the backyard which is the woods.

Alexander POV

She leads me deeper into the forest. I'm glad she is finally opening up to me. She leads me to a beautiful waterfall. "This is a place were I like to calm down." She says. After a few moments she breaks the silence. "Thank you." She says. "For what?" I ask. "For giving me time to, to tell you abou my past." She explains to me. I hug her she stiffens at contact but then starts to relax. "I understand, even if I don't I will make an effort to understand." I reply back. She looks up at me I smile down at her. Time to go my sister mind-links me. "I have to go." I say sadly, I didn't want to leave. "I'm going to stay here for a while can you find your way back?" Cat asks. "Yeah I just need to find our scents from earlier." I respond. I make my way to leave till I hear her yelling my name to wait. I turn around she catches up to me and hesitates then she kisses my cheek and then she runs off. I touch my cheek and smile all the way back.

Catherine POV

After I gave him a kiss on the cheek I ran off it was midnight. I then go to another clearing. "You're here late." Maya says. Maya is a little girl that I met some time ago. We meet each other once a month at midnight. Then Beth and Ari come. They knew her too. "Sorry we had company." I say. We talk and joke around a bit. Maya tensed a bit but around 5 minutes later she relaxed she always does that when we meet never knew why. After one hour we go our seprate ways. "What happened to your mates?" I ask them. "Oh they left saying they had duty." Beth replies. I just nod feeling sleepy. "Bye guys." I say "Bye." They reply back. I shift and run back to my house. Once I shift back and change I fall on my comfy bed and fall in to the darkness.
