Catherine POV

It has been 3 days they gave us food but I gave mine to Ari and Beth. They were hungry. I only ate a apple because Alex told me to. Its been around 3 hours. Mason and Deacon come down to see us they have Maya in between them. They unlock Richards cell and get Clarisse and Richard. Then they come to my cell and take me. I accidentally get shoved towards Mason. While I was this close to Mason I was able to get the keys to the cell. Deacon goes back up the stairs while Mason shoves me to Alex. "Say your goodbye." Is all Mason says. I hug Alex and give him the keys in secret "I'm going to be okay." I tell him. He kisses my forehead. "I love you." He tells me. "I love you too." I say I try to cheer him up by smiling. It only worked a little. Then Mason gets me and shoves Alex back in the cell and locks it. "Move." He demands. I do as told. I forgive Maya as we walk to the unknown. We go outside and I smell fresh air and a pack? Wait a minute. Before I can get a good whiff of the smell I get pushed forward. Was that Lucas? That question lingers on my mind. We get shoved into a car. Seriously though stop shoving and just tell me where to go you have mouths for a reason. Then we stop at a old house. "Mi casa es tu casa." Deacon says. We go to the backyard. "We can't sniff out the smell so..." Mason says as he pushes Maya to the ground. "You can do it and sniff out the basement." He finishes saying. Maya gets up and grumbles to herself. She walks farther finding who knows what. "Found it!!" she yells. We walk over there. I couldn't take it anymore so I got a big fat stick and hit Deacon with it. It knocks him out cold. Then I knock out Mason. I get the keys quickly and let myself free along with Maya, Richard and Clarisse. We all run toward what we think is the pack of Lucas. We don't make it far because the fog we smelled also doesn't allow us to shift or communicate with our wolves. We are basically humans that are allergic to silver and wolfsbane. I hear bones cracking and the tearing of clothes. Oh no they woke up. I get knocked onto the ground and get kicked in my stomach. Maya also gets knocked down and just gets a slap in the face and the same thing happens to Clarisse. Richard gets punched in the face. We all groan in pain. I flinch when I feel a silver knife on my cheek. "Rebellious aren't we. To bad I need you alive." Mason said. We get chained again and walk back to the old house. It was getting dark. It was probably around 7. Not dark much but its getting their. Then out of nowhere 2 wolves come into view and Rosa and Ben. Then I recognize the other two wolves those are the guards. Rosa and Ben stepped forwards. They come closer but then some of Deacon's men come. "The war has begun." Rosa says. "And you will perish." Finishes Ben. Then everything breaks loose. I get untied along with everyone else. We fight back. I hit Deacon square in the face. I punch the heck out of him. He also takes swings at me. But of course I let my guard down for one second and Deacon tackles me. What suprised me out of all that when I was tackled to the ground by Deacon. Mason took him off of me and stabbed him. Wait Mason is a good guy?!?! That was confusing. Then Deacon's men get captured by the guards. Rosa goes next to me and picks me up. "Look you may think I'm the bad guy, but I'm not. I'm angry that Deacon has my parents locked up. I'm angry how we both treated our sister. I don't like him. I have been betraying him the day I agreed to join him. I was never at your tortures. And when I was I would only look and not hurt you. You have to believe me." He explains. "You will have to earn our trust." Rosa says. He softened his gaze "I will do anything." He said. "I am going to fight with you." He also said. We nod. "Come on we need to help the others." Ben said. "Wait." I said. "I need to know what the big deal is I need to find out the secrets. Im staying here and unlocking the secrets." I say. "I will stay with you." Maya said. "You need someone to protect you so I'm staying as well." Richard said. "I'm going with y'all too. I can't leave my mate alone." Clarisse said. "Okay." Rosa says "We have to leave good luck." she says as she runs off. Time to see the unkown.
