He Is Still Out There

Catherine POV

It has been a easy year. Strange right. I gotten a job as a English teacher in the middle school. Deacon is still in jail. Wow my life is just pure on strange. Of course everyone is now healed. Beth has a daughter. She was adopted and I know that y'all know her. Her name is Maya. Yup thats right Maya is her daughter. Maya's parents were set free but died in battle. I told her how Beth couldn't have a baby and how badly she wants one. So yeah that happened. I'm already marked and it is and felt amazing. Anyways back to whats happening. It's game night. Everyone is here. The phone rings and Ari goes and gets it. We are in her house too. She comes back looking pale. I then go next to her. "He is out of jail. He escaped." She said. She was talking about Deacon. Just great we finally win the war and then he comes and escapes. See I told you things were to easy. I hear Alex growl. I go and calm him down. "Well if he tries to come near us he will probably be weak since he is human." I say thinking about it. "Also he has no people to gather." I reason with them. They nod in agreement. Then we go to our separate houses. I was staying with Alex. We watch tv. We cuddle a bit. I start making food I was going to make fish fillets. I feel a pair of arms around me. I lean into the warmth knowing that it was Alex. He inhales my scent. I finish the food and move away from him. "Time to eat." I say as I prepare the table. He then turns me around and kisses the life out of me. I then pull away for air. Still shocked I ask, "What was that for?" still dazed. "I almost lost you once I don't want to lose you again." He says before ducking his head down and kissing me again. We stop after a few minutes. "You are not going to lose me again." I say. Our foreheads touching each other. He looks at me with love and care. We then eat. We finally go to sleep around 11:30 p.m.

I make breakfast and watch tv. Alex is still alseep I was surprised that he didn't wake up yet. I clean the house I was so bored. I go ahead and take a nap.

------------ In Dream -------------

No not again I thought. "Hello child." Wisp greets me. "Hey." I say. She smiles at me then she says, "No danger will find you." "Wait so I'm safe?" I question. She nods. "Good Morning." She said then disappears. I then feel like I was walking out this dream instead of falling.

I was being shaken by Alex. I mumble a hello. "You fell asleep on the couch its already 4 p.m." He said. Wow I just wanted to take a nap. "Mhm..." I feel like sleeping an eternity. Instead I feel the couch disappear. I snap my eyes open to see Alex carrying me all the way to his room. He then lays me down on the bed and tucks me in as I were to be a 5 year old. "Sleep." Is all he said. Don't mind if I do Ava said. I chuckled at her. I then fall asleep again. I wake up around 8. I stretch and make my way downstairs. I see Alex with a bunch of papers around him. I wanted to scare him. I was but then I found him asleep. So I decided not to do that.... But instead to draw on his face with Sharpie. Then once I finished he looked hilarious. I then thought about the ice bucket challenge. I take all the papers that was surrounding him and put it on the non-splash zone. I then get a bucket and fill it with water I add a few pieces of ice. Then I walk all the way back and dump it on him. He jolts awake. I laugh at him I laugh so hard I fall to the ground. He then decides it was a good time to tickle me to death. "Stop... Please." I gasp out tears blurring my vision. "Say I'm the hottest, most sexiest man you ever met." He said. He stops and waits for my response. I smirk and say, "No." He then tickles me more. "Okay, okay you are the hottest, most sexiest man I ever met." I say outloud. "Was that hard." He said looking at me. "So difficult." I say as I dramatically put a hand over my head. He then goes to dry himself out. I hear his door close. 3. 2. 1. "CATHERINE!!" I laugh he just saw what I did to his face. He then comes down 30 minutes later. His face just a bit red from where he scrubbed the Sharpie off. He then comes up to me. "What was that for?" He asked as he pointed to his face. I just shrug and said I was bored. He then keeps a serious face but then smile. "I can't be angry with you." He said. "Good." I say as I look up to him. Maybe we will be okay.
