Alexanders POV

Hey my name is Alexander Bush. I'm 5'9 I have light brown eyes and brown hair and tan skin. I'm from the Silver Crescent Pack. I'm 20 and my wolf is black with white paws and a white spot over my eye and his name is Jay. On with my boring life. BANG!! BANG!!. "Wake up, you lost the bet so you are taking me shopping!" My sister, Rosa, yells. "I'm coming." I said well you see sometimes I'm lazy, most of the time I'm not. Being a Beta and all means you have to be able to work 24/7. I dressed up and got my keys, then I went to the kitchen to eat. "Sup." The Alpha, Lucas, says. "Hey man got to cut this reunion short got to go to the mall." I say. "Hey I'm going their too." He says. I look at him strangely. "I'm going to meet my mate." He explains. "Congrats dude, hey come with us." I say. "Alright." He tells me. We go to my car and I see my sister waiting. "Lets get this over with." I mumble as I crank up the car.

------------ At Mall -------------

After hours of shopping Lucas gets a call from his mate. "Lets go to the café my mate is there." He says. As we walk closer I smell the most amazing scent in my life, mangoes and strawberries. Mate my wolf, Jay, says. I tell my sister my discovery and as we find out it leads to the café. We see 3 girls. One is a brunette, another a blond and the last one a red head. The blond comes over. "Lucas!!" She yells. So I'm geussing thats his mate, Ari. Lucas and the brunette apparently know each other. When we all get closer the brunette and I lock eyes and one word is in my mind MATE. Then one thing that hurts me the most is that she runs away from me. "Catherine!!!" Ari yells. I figured out two things. 1) I run trying to catch my mate and 2) I love her name.

Catherine POV

After a couple of minutes I tell my friends about the scent I picked up. They both look at each other "You found your mate, Cat." Beth says carefully. They knew my past, and it wasn't pretty and that I'm scared of what men can actually do to you. "Okay." I say simply. Then I smell the scent again. "Lucas!!" Ari yells. Wait a minute did she say Lucas. I move closer to his group only keeping my eyes on him. "Ginnie Pig?" I ask Lucas. "Wheelchair?" Lucas says. My eyes are wide "Lucas its been so long how are you?" I say. "Wait y'all know each other?" Ari asks. "Yeah he ummm helped me escape." I say, like I said before they know my past. Ari looks at me her gaze has softened. I look at the other people around me I lock eyes with the brown haired one. MATE. After Ava said that I dash into the forest. I hear my name being called but it was faint the only thing I can hear is the beating of my heart. I'm glad I took track in high school. I find a place to rest. I sit down and calm myself. I stand up from where I have been sitting and look at my surroundings. Then two hands grab my waist and spin me around. I feel sparks and only your mate can do that. I struggle to get out of his grip. "Hey Alexander let her go." Lucas says. He lets me go and I look at him, I get lost in his chocolate brown eyes. I look away "I.. I'm sorry, it's just with what happened last time and-" I get cut off. "Its alright we understand." Beth says and Lucas and Ari nod. "Excuse me but why did you run away from me." Alex says. "We all have a past, everyone has their good and bad days. Mine is just bad and I only have a few rays of sunlight in the dark room.( If y'all didn't understand it means a few good days in her life )." I finish saying. "No Cat dont think it like that." Ari says. "Lets just go its getting cold out here." I say. We agree and go to Beth's house.

Everyone has secrets but most of them are not as valuable to share. Some don't want to share cause even if your life is full of light there is a broken part inside.
