Alexander POV

Once Catherine left I made sure that there was no guards to be seen. I then took out the key and unlocked everyone. I told them how I got it. Then right when we were heading upstairs we heard footsteps. Lucas had a bag of silver ready to be used. "Oh thank goodness you are okay." Lucas says as he hugs Ari. I clear my throat. "Oh I'm glad that y'all are okay too." He adds. I roll my eyes. "Whats happening?" I ask. "The war is on." Is all he said. "I will fight but only in human form." I say. I also say why only in human form. Ben and Rosa go to free Catherine and the rest. She better be okay she has to be. We get suited for battle. Ari comes along as well. Beth comes and fights with us. I was surprised because I thought she would think of the baby first. I guessed wrong. I will do this for my mate. We all run into what seemed into a room that had no escape. We fight I knock out some wolves. I don't kill just knock them out. Lucas was trapped and I got on some wolves and knock them out. The silver we use stops them from shifting and mind-linking. Ari has a wolf on top of her. The wolf was baring his teeth. Her arm was bleeding badly. After I go and help her I take her to the hospital. Beth is tackled to the ground I get the wolf that is trying to pin her down and inject silver in him. Beth moans in pain and gets her stomach. I take her to the hospital something was wrong with her. I couldn't hear her pup's heartbeat. I take her to the doctor immediately. I get back out. I don't fight anymore. I feel like something inside of me is telling me, no warning me not to battle. I help the injured back to hospital. It isn't that far. I see Rosa and Ben come back. I lead Ari and Rosa to Beth's room. I didn't want them to get hurt in the battle. I go back outside and do my thing. It looks like the battle just hit its climax. I couldn't tell who was winning. So I went against the voice inside of me and helped out. I got punches here and there but nothing so bad. The feeling I have gets worse. I know that its not Catherine because I would have felt the pain or sorrow more stronger. Then some of Deacon's men pull out guns. This was a bloody war. We had guns as well but not as many as they had. I started getting worried. I didn't know what was happening. I saw Rosa coming outside trying to find someone. I catch up to her. "Who are you looking for?" I ask. "Mason." She replied and ran off to who knows where. I understood her need for him. It was like me and Catherine but just a bit differently. Then I heard a shot. I look to see Mason on the ground. Rosa was crying. I understood that. Her mate just died. Rejection and your mate or wolf dying is the worst pain in the world. Then I see Rosa attack 5 wolves. She had lots of pain. Then while I run to give her some back up a person shoots her from behind her back as she was attacking the 5th wolf she knocked out. I go near her and hold her head in my hands. "I didn't protect you I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I say through sobs. "I love you, you were the best brother I could have asked for. You did your best and that was enough. Stay happy okay. Do that for me." She gasps out. "Okay I will. I love you too sis. You were the best sister." I say as I try to fight back the tears. She weakly smiles at me before she goes limp in my arms. I cry, it feels like its just me in my room crying. I block out everything. I then walk up and fight. Anger boiling in my blood. Anger on what they did to Catherine. Angry that my sister died. Angry on everything that is happening. I take out my anger on the wolves and people in front if me and behind me. I was dueling a guy. He took swings first. I was winning though. As soon as he saw no escape out of my grip. He tried to get out but couldn't. Right when I was about to knock him out he pulls out a gun and shoots me. Everything goes black. I feel the ground beneath me. I feel arms pull at me. My vision is blurry. I see lights. Then I felt a nice cushion bellow me. I feel myself getting weaker and weaker. No I can't die. Not now I need to be there for Catherine. Then I noticed that I should have listened to the voice. At least what I did I did for my people. I then feel my eyelids fall. I can't move. Am I dead. Then I see a light through this darkness. I don't know what to do. I was dying. I stay there in the darkness not knowing what to do. I then make my choice and stand up and walk.
