Foxy skidded around a corner, finding himself in the office. A small fan was whirring away on the desk, and Foxy stopped moving. Mangle was crumpled up on the floor, and a vent grate was lying next to her, but the girl was nowhere to be seen.

"A-Amanda?" he called, softly. Of course she wasn't here. Foxy shook his head and turned around, and suddenly found himself being knocked to the ground. He screeched and stopped when he saw who was on top of him. "Jane?"

"You idiot! I thought you were going to stay with me! Do you know how much I just risked, running back throughout the entire restaurant, looking for you?! Christ! I mean, really--" Foxy tuned Jane out, not bothering to listen to her rant.

"Thanks for coming back for me," he said, interrupting her.

Jane stopped and smiled. "Of course. Anything for a friend."

"Ahem." Foxy looked past Jane. A girl was standing there. "I hate to interrupt this touching reunion, but I'd really like to get out of here!" Amanda cried.

Jane got to her feet and brushed herself off. "Let's go, then."

"Wait," Foxy muttered, picking himself off of the floor. "Aren't we going to go to the rest of the animatronics?"

Amanda and Jane stared at him as if he were a lunatic.
"We spent a while night running away from them, and you want to go to them?" Amanda said in disbelief.

Foxy shrugged. "Fine. I'm stupid. I'm a dead child stuffed in a suit. What do I know?"

He could've sworn Amanda's face turned green. "What?"

"Aha, nothing!" Jane cried, taking Amanda by the shoulders. "Nothing. We can leave now. It's almost six. Let's leave. Now."

Had Foxy had movable eyes, he would've rolled them. He pushed the two girls forward, steering them through the hallways, until they reached the doors. That's where Foxy put on the breaks.

"What are you doing?" Jane asked. "We have to go!"

"I can't." Foxy stared at her.

"What do you mean?!" Jane's eyes widened. "I crossed fifty-gazillion states to get to you! Don't make this trip for nothing!"

"I can't. I have to stay. I'm sorry."

"What do you mean?!"

Amanda edged towards the door. "I-I'll just be leaving now." She turned and exited the building.

Jane didn't notice. Her eyes were trained on Foxy. He shifted uncomfortable.

"I literally can't leave," he muttered. Jane looked up at him, puzzled. Foxy lifted his foot. A yellow stripe was painted on it. He pointed to the ground. Yellow lines were painted on the ground. "I'm bound here," he whispered. "There's some sort of technological thing that's going to keep me from leaving. You take me outside of this building, and an alarm will sound, and I'll shut down. I'm sorry."

Jane groaned. "So... everything I did... everything was for nothing?"

"Seems so. Look, forget about me. I'm a robot. I don't remember you. I never will. You're just a girl. You don't mean anything to me," he said, a bit harshly. "Not anymore," he quickly added, registering the hurt on Jane's face.

Jane stood where she was, stock-still. Foxy sighed. "Go!" he exclaimed. "Please! For me, if not your own safety."

Without a word, Jane turned on her heel and silently left, the only noise the squeak of the door as it opened and closed. The door clicked shut, and Foxy found himself alone again. He walked up to the glass, peering outside.

Foxy watched Jane as she strolled over to her car. She opened the door and took out something. A camera? She turned to the building and raised the camera to her face. Foxy saw a flash. When his eyesight returned, Jane was sitting in her car.

He saw that she was mouthing something, over and over. But what?

I will remember.

Foxy felt himself relax. He turned away from the door. He smiled.

She would be fine.
