Amanda watched as Jane crept down the hallway around a corner slowly before disappearing. She worried her bottom lip, and she jumped up and sat on the edge of the stage. She looked up and felt her skin crawl. Those animatronics were creepy. If only she hadn't had to work overtime at the coffee shop.

Her eyes widened when one if the animatronics turned their head down and stared at her. The chicken. Chica.

"Let's party!" she said. Amanda practically flew off of the stage.

"J-J-J..." she stared in horror as one by one, the animatronics began moving. She couldn't call out to Jane. She was too afraid. Why are they moving around and talking? she wondered, in a panic. She backed up and felt herself back into something. Amanda turned around.

She'd backed up into the gigantic box. Soft music was playing, and slowing down, as if it were about to stop.

It did.

The music faded away and Amanda fell to her knees, her eyes glassy, as the top of the box opened and a very slender figure popped out. The Puppet. The Marionette. The Puppet master. The creepy robot thing.

The Puppet stared at the room, with its creepy, dark mouth open. It began talking, but it sounded... garbled. Maybe not even a real language. Then again, it wasn't like it was alive, right?

Amanda scrabbled away from the box and bumped into a table. She scurried under the table, shaking.

"Jaaaane...." she wailed, but she knew Jane wouldn't hear her. She could barely hear herself.

"Hello." Amanda's head shot up and snapped over to her left. Balloon Boy was standing next to the table, just a little too tall to walk under without bumping his head.

A tear snaked down Amanda's face and she hugged herself.

Jane... come back, please!
