Camila always hated Mondays. Today was just one of the worst.
"Mila!!!"
Camila groaned as her roommate yelled at her once again. It was close to 6:30 in the morning, which was normal for Ally, but Camila didn't have to be at her job for another hour and a half.
"Yes?!" Camila yelled through her door. Camila loathed her roommate. In all honesty, she was a total bitch.
Her no longer sweet personality started when Camila told her she was going to be late on rent this week.
Camila sighed and covered her eyes with her forearm.
"Mila, I really need the rent tonight. I can't keep paying for your shit." Ally said appearing in her doorway.
Camila just grunted and Ally stormed off.
"Fuck you." Camila groaned, turning over onto her stomach to try savour her last hour of sleep before having to go to the hellhole she calls the 'LoKe Inc.' mail room.
If only she knew what was coming.

"Babe, can you come check this out?" Keana asked her partner.
"What am I looking at?" Lauren asked as she stood over Keana's shoulder. Her computer monitor displayed a large variety of couches, tables and other indoor furniture.
"That, my dear, is our first furniture line." Keana said with a big smile and Lauren squealed.
Keana smiled at her happiness. Although she may be shy, Lauren was one of the most enjoyably energetic people she ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Which is why this next part was going to be hard.
"Lauren-" Keana started but was cut off by their assistant, Olivia.
"Excuse me, Ms. Issartel, there's a- uh- Danny, on the phone for you." Olivia said quite nervously. She was terrified of the two women.
Fresh out of college, in about a year, Lauren and Keana had taken their small interior design business and created one of the most successful companies out there today.
"That's the boyfriend." Lauren teased, still looking through the furniture catalog at all the pieces she helped design.
"Now now Laur, you're not jealous, are you? I said I didn't have to move out." Keana asked, pouting playfully which made Lauren flip her off.
"As if, I like having my own apartment." Lauren lied. She missed Keana immensely and it had only been a week.
Lauren was a very shy girl, but she never felt that way when her friends were around. When Danny, Keana's longtime boyfriend asked her to move in with him, Lauren had to face the fears of living alone.
"I'll be right back." Keana said, taking her cellphone and leaving to call her boyfriend.
Lauren just nodded, finished with the catalog.
"Ms. Jauregui?" Olivia asked nervously. Lauren looked up at her softly.
"Yes?" She answered quietly.
"Do you need anything?" Olivia asked, hoping to get on Lauren's good side as she knew what was coming later that day.
Lauren needed some pain medicine. Her head was killing her and her cramps had just started.
"No, it's okay Olivia, thank you." Lauren said with a warm smile.
Olivia nodded and left the room, leaving Lauren alone in the large office at LoKe Inc. headquarters, located in Boston, Massachusetts.
