A few days had passed and Camila was exhausted. Working at the bar was extremely fun but very tiring. Even though the bar was busy each night, and worse on the weekends, Camila didn't mind. She loved her job, especially the tips she was receiving.
Camila couldn't say she was upset. It was the complete opposite. She had a great group of friends. She also lived in an amazing apartment with Lauren and Jovi. Thinking about Lauren always managed to put a smile on Camila's face.
Lauren and Camila had become pretty close. They were always joking around with one another and telling each other basically everything as the days had passed. There were only a few things they didn't know about each other yet.
Things were finally starting to look up for Camila.
One more day until the weekend, Camila thought. She stretched her arms out and groaned loudly before sitting up in bed. It was Thursday morning and she wanted to be up early to cook Lauren breakfast, before Lauren headed to work.
Camila normally made breakfast, unless Lauren offered. Even though Camila worked long hours and got home late most days, she was an early riser and always had been.
She made her way to the kitchen, feeding Jovi and then prepared yogurt, granola and fresh fruit for breakfast.
"G'morning." Lauren yawned out.
"Good morning. Don't be gross and cover your mouth." Camila replied, glancing at Lauren and laughing at her crazy bed hair before finishing cutting up some bananas.
"What are you laughing at?" Lauren asked, smiling at Camila's cute giggle.
"Who did you have sex with? Looks like someone enjoyed pulling your hair last night." Camila joked.
"W-what? No one!" Lauren exclaimed, shocked. Her cheeks immediately burned up.
"Your hair is a little uhh. Well, let's just say you look like you just had some crazy, hot sex." Camila said, trying to keep a straight face.
"You're annoying. I'm sorry my hair doesn't look like yours in the morning." Lauren scoffed, taking a seat at the stool in front of the counter where Camila was standing.
"It doesn't look too bad." Camila said, reaching over the counter to pat Lauren's hair down gently.
"Too bad? That means it looks a little bad." Lauren replied, pushing Camila's hand away.
"It looks cute." Camila grinned.
"Cute. Yeahhh, okay." Lauren said sarcastically.
"Super cute." Camila replied fondly. She pushed Lauren's bowl of food toward her. "Do you want some coffee?"
"Nope. Juice please." Lauren said, shoving a spoonful of food into her mouth.
"Okay." Camila laughed.
"You're such a child." She said quietly to herself.
"I heard that." Lauren said, throwing a strawberry at the back of Camila's head.
"Hey, don't start a food fight. I'm not cleaning that shit up." Camila said sternly.
"Fine." Lauren rolled her eyes childishly.
"Fine." Camila mimicked.
"And you call me a child." Lauren scoffed again, eating more food. "I'm older than you."
"You're twenty-four. You're only a year older, yet, you're still a child. Hurry up and finish your breakfast so you won't be late for work." Camila said, going to sit on the stool next to Lauren's to eat her breakfast.
