Once the three had finished decorating the tree in all types of Christmas ornaments that Camila didn't hesitate to go overboard with, they cooked up a mini feast for dinner before having a Christmas themed movie marathon.

Even though Christmas Day wasn't until the end of the week and they wouldn't be spending it with their families or friends, they were all exceptionally excited for the day to come so they would be able to spend it together.

It was two in the morning before they all decided to head to their bedrooms. Sofi decided to take both kittens with her so Lauren and Camila could have some privacy, doing who knows what.

She was happy because her only sister had found love in Lauren who was an amazing person, and was just right for Camila. She had only been staying with them for a couple of days now, but she knew Camila and Lauren suited each other perfectly.

She set both kittens down next to her before closing her eyes, thinking about the past few days and how fortunate she had been feeling since Lauren had found her at the bar - essentially leading her to her sister, before drifting off to sleep.

In the other room, Lauren and Camila had just laid down in bed after doing their nightly routines together. Camila had been quiet since they left the living room and Lauren was dying to ask why, but she wouldn't push her until she was ready to talk.

Camila was feeling particularly overwhelmed, and rightly so. Her sixteen year old sister had shown up out of the blue, whom she hadn't seen in over four years. She had found out about her parents having a file on her and she couldn't guess why. She thought they hated her.

She definitely hated them.

"Camz? Are you okay?" Lauren asked gently, trying to bring her out of her trance by stroking her cheek.

"Yeah...Well, not really. I just feel a little weird with all of this happening." Camila said, staring into Lauren's eyes. They were now laying down, facing one another.

"Weird in what way?" Lauren asked curiously, even though she didn't want to overstep her boundaries.

"Uh, my parents. As soon as I came out to them, they acted worse than they were before and it was horrible. They treated me so badly and I couldn't really do anything about it until I was eighteen, when I ran away. They hated the the fact that I was gay and they wanted me to change - they tried to make me change. Why would they have that file on me if they hated me so much? I feel so disgusted...And it's nauseating knowing that a detective has been following me for years. I want it to stop, Lauren. They don't deserve to know what I'm up to and I don't want them knowing." Camila rambled out her thoughts, before the tears started flowing freely.

Lauren wiped away a few tears and brought Camila into a tight hug.

"I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that and I can only imagine how you're feeling. I'll be here for you through everything, okay? If you ever need to talk to me about something, please do it." Lauren said.

Camila only nodded and sniffled into her shoulder.

"You know, my family and I aren't in a good place either. I mean, they're happy that my business is successful and that I'm doing well, but we don't speak because they won't accept my sexuality. I don't want to talk to people that won't accept me, even though I want to. I miss them so much. We were such a close family, and once I came out, that all changed..." Lauren said, finally coming clean about her family troubles.

"Aw Laur, I'm sorry too..." Camila said, but it came out muffled. She moved back a little bit to stare Lauren in the eyes again. "When did you last speak to them?"
