Mouldy, musty and faint lavender. Those are the three scents Camila has been accustomed to these past two and a half weeks in a ran-down, cheap and disgusting motel room.
A squeaking bed, high-pitched fake moans and loud knocks on the wall coming from the room next to her. Those are the sounds that woke her up this morning while laying in a bed that feels like it was made out of concrete.
Groaning, the warmth from the thin blankets was removed as she headed to the coffee table where the kettle that barely heated was resting on. Camila guessed the people next door were banging to keep warm. It's a pretty good idea, really.
Pouring herself a cup of coffee, she eyed the suitcase that laid in the corner. After getting fired, Camila ended up sneaking back into her apartment, well, Ally's apartment. She ended up taking most of her clothes since she didn't really have many other things she owned.
There was no way she was going to face Ally after losing her job.
Fuck Lauren and fuck Keana. I really needed that job, I went from a comfortable queen sized bed to this shitty motel concrete slab they call a bed, she thought.
Not that Camila hadn't been looking for a job...Nobody really wants to hire a girl with no college experience and no references. She doubted anyone would say good things about her anyway.
She was suddenly broken from her train of thought by a high pitched voice shouting through the wall.
"Fuck me daddy!"
What? People really say that? Gross, Camila thought.
"Come on. Harder, baby."
"Shut up, you bitch."
What?!
"Ohhh, keep going."
"Can you two shut the fuck up, please?" Camila yelled out. It's 9:24 on a cold, Saturday morning. She really didn't need to be hearing this.
"Fuck off, slut!" The man replied.
"Asshole." Camila muttered. He definitely has a tiny dick, she thought.
A phone buzzing brought Camila out her temporary anger towards the couple next door. She smiled at the contact.
Dinah-Jane Hansen was one of her co-workers at LoKe Inc. They hit it off instantly and she quickly became one of Camila's best friends. Luckily, Dinah was one of the people that kept her job in the mail room.
DJ: Mila. Mani's bar has an opening for a bartending position... Considering you worked in a bar before, wanna give that a try again? You're super hot so the tips would be amazing, girl. Think about it x

Warm, very comfortable and extremely lonely. That's exactly how Lauren felt right now and had been feeling ever since her best friend moved out.
Living alone is horrible, she thought as she laid in bed this chilly Saturday morning.
After a shower and a quick breakfast, Lauren headed out to start her usual morning run through the busy city streets.
It was only about five minutes into the jog before she tripped on a curb and fell flat on her face.
How fucking embarrassing.
"Are you okay? Do you need help up?" An elderly man asked.
"Um no, thank you though. I'm fine." Lauren jumped up and brushed herself off.
"Your knee is bleeding, you should get that checked out." He replied.
Looking down, a stream of blood started from her knee which trailed down to coat her white sock in dark red.
