5:27 am
Saturday morning...

Camila was only now walking through Lauren's apartment door, well, her temporary home that she had been living in for almost a week. She had just gotten back from having a few drinks with Normani and Dinah after the bar had closed.

She decided that if she was going to be spending time with her boss nearly every day, they might as well get to know one another. It was also a bonus that Dinah was Normani's girlfriend so Camila was able to spend time with her best friend at the same time.

Camila made her way through the living room and into the kitchen where she got her bag of tips out that she had received tonight and counted them again.

"$175, not bad." Camila muttered under her breath. She had been receiving quite the amount of money from her job and she was saving as much as she could to be able to move into her own apartment one day. As much as she liked living with Lauren, she didn't want to be a burden.

"Good morning." Lauren said, huskiness from sleep evident in her voice.

Camila squealed at the sudden noise. She didn't think she had been loud enough to wake Lauren up.

"One, good morning. Two, why do you think it's okay to creep up on someone at 5:30 in the morning?" Camila said, clutching her hand to her heart.

"It's not really creeping up if it's in my own place." Lauren smirked.

"Yes it is! I didn't hear your footsteps or anything. I could be dead right now." Camila said dramatically, stomping her foot like a toddler.

"If I wanted you dead, I would've killed you the day you moved in." Lauren said, snickering at her antics.

"Real comforting, Lauren. How do I know that you're not setting up some major plan to kill me?" Camila asked.

"Will you shut up? How 'bout I make you some breakfast because I scared you?" Lauren scoffed.

Even though Camila woke her up, she thought it'd be nice to give her something back after all the help Camila had given her over the week.

"Okay, but if you come within two feet of me with a knife, I know you're about to kill me." Camila said seriously.

"Camilaaa, please shut up. You woke me up when you came home! Pancakes or waffles or bacon and eggs?" Lauren asked, looking into the fridge for the items she needed.

"Uh, bacon strips inside of pancakes, please." Camila grinned widely.

"That sounds gross." Lauren grimaced.

"Don't knock it 'til ya try it."

---

Twenty minutes later, a stack of pancakes and bacon strips as well as the 'bacon pancakes' sat in the middle of the table, waiting to be devoured by Camila.

"Don't start until I come there. Orange juice or water?" Lauren asked from the kitchen.

"Juiceee." Camila shouted.

"Camila. It's still really early in the morning so shut the fuck up, please." Lauren said, grabbing the orange juice and two glasses before heading over to the table.

"Damn, you're a feisty one in the morning." Camila laughed at Lauren cursing. She hardly ever did it but when she did, Camila thought it was extremely funny and...Attractive.

"Well, you did wake me up at a ridiculous time." Lauren said, shoving Camila's shoulder before sitting down.

"Sorry not sorry. Are you gonna try some of my bacon pancakes?" Camila asked, offering Lauren some of hers by waving it around in front of her face.
