Chapter Nineteen

"Babe? Are you ready?" Lauren shouted to the other bathroom as she applied the finishing touches to her makeup.

Wanting to impress Camila and the investors, she decided on wearing a form fitting, bright red dress that reached half way down her calves, with red lipstick to match.

She hoped it was enough.

"Yup!" Camila answered, walking out into the living room to meet Lauren.

She also wanted to impress her girlfriend and she had to look professional in front the guests, especially if she was going to be there as Lauren's significant other.

She had decided on a two piece tan skirt and shirt that hugged her body perfectly, with tan heels to match.

"Okay, well Keana just texted me-" Lauren started but stopped when she looked up.

"Wow, you look so beautiful." Lauren complimented, blinking a few times. Camila's face turned almost as red as Lauren's dress.

"You too." Camila said quietly,  allowing Lauren to walk up and place her hands on her hips. Camila returned the favour by placing her arms around Lauren's neck.

"I would kiss you but I don't want to ruin my lipstick." Lauren said under her breath.

"Redo it." Camila husked before kissing her girlfriend, who moaned at the contact.

If it wasn't for Lauren's phone constantly buzzing due to Keana freaking out, they would've kept going.

Instead, Lauren pulled away and returned to the bathroom to fix her lipstick.

"C'mon, babe. Let's go meet some boring people." Lauren said once she had finished. She grabbed Camila's hand and pulled her towards the door.

The two girls arrived at the banquet hall and Camila was instantly impressed.

"You two did all of this in one night?" Camila asked in awe, admiring the room filled with guests who were mingling and laughing as well as the waiters who walked around with trays of different foods and drinks.

"Well, we both get a lot done if we put our minds to it." Lauren smiled, happily leading her forward.

"Lo!" Keana shouted once she had spotted her best friend and Camila. She gave them a once over before smiling at the happy and beautiful couple.

"Thank God you're here. Most of the investors are already here." Keana said nervously and Lauren laughed, placing her hand on Keana's shoulder.

"Relax. The place looks great. Let's just make sure everyone has a good time and we'll get through it-" Lauren said before she was cut off by a loud voice.

A voice Camila hoped she would never have to hear again.

"Lauren Jauregui!" A man said, moving through the crowd to meet the green-eyed girl.

Lauren turned to meet the man who called her name, despite Camila's wide eyes.

Lauren shook his hand. "Hello Mr..." She trailed off and he laughed.

"Please, call me Al. Alejandro Estrabao, at your service." The man grinned and Lauren's eyes widened at his last name.

Turning to Camila, she saw the brown-eyed girl frozen in place at the sight of her father.

But then, she noticed how Camila's eye switched to the woman who appeared next to Alejandro.

"Ah, and this is my wife, Sinu." Alejandro introduced.
