Newt's phone started ringing at 6:05 AM, but there was no need for the obnoxious noise, for he had given up on sleep a couple hours previous. He was actually rather relieved, knowing that he wasn't capable of getting any extra rest anyways. Not after what had happened last night, at least.

He grinned as he remembered the gift that he had put together for Thomas. Maybe today would be just as good as yesterday...

                                                                                         🐯🐯🐯

As the blonde headed up to the school, he saw Alby over by one of the trees, studying over a piece of paper. "Hey, Alby," he said as he walked over to his friend. "How's it going?"

The dark skinned boy jumped in surprise. "Holy crap, Newt. I didn't expect to see you this early. I thought you had perhaps already gone into the school," said Alby. "Oh and by the way, nice flower crown. I thought that you stopped wearing those ever since Gally teased you about them being too gay."

"Oh, right. I guess I'm just feeling more self-confident than usual today, you know?" stated Newt.

"Hey, Newt," shouted an all too familiar voice from behind the blonde. Thomas was jogging towards his boyfriend, smiling radiantly.

 "Oh, hi Tommy."

"Oh my gosh! That flower crown looks so perfect on you!" Thomas exclaimed. "Why haven't you worn one before?!"

Before Newt could respond, Alby cut in, "He's been bullied for wearing them, obviously."

"Yeah... But no one should be able to stop me, right?" asked Newt.

"No, they shouldn't," replied Thomas and Alby in unison.

There was a sudden moment in which the blonde noticied Alby give Thomas a sharp glare, but it wasn't just a regular glare. Newt swore that he could see a glimpse of anger in Alby's eyes for a split second, but he smiled at the brunette nevertheless. What could this possibly mean?  Newt thought. Why would anything that Tommy has done make him so shuckin' angry? He mentally laughed once he realized that he had used his boyfriend's made-up slang word. He obviously was spending a lot of time with the lovable brunette, perhaps even more than he used to with Alby. Wait, Alby?! Newt sighed once he realized why Alby was probably so angry with him. I haven't been hanging out with him lately, bloody hell...

"Newt? Are you still there, buddy?" asked Thomas.

 "Huh?"

"You zoned out for a minute there, I thought that you may have gotten bored."

"Me, bored of you?! No, I don't think so, Tommy."

Thomas's face burned red. "Well, what where you day dreaming about, anyway? If you don't mind me asking, that is."

"It's just that- Wait, hold on... Where's Alby?" the blonde was so caught up talking to Thomas, that he almost forgot about his best mate.

For some bizarre reason, the brunette almost looked ashamed. "He walked off just a couple minutes ago, mumbling about unfinished homework, or something."

"Oh no..." said the blonde. But his mind filled up with many questions, some of them making him feel very guilty. What if Alby hates me, and doesn't want to be friends with me anymore?! I love Tommy, but I didn't mean for this to happen!

"I'm so sorry, Newt. But I kinda think that it's my fault that he ran away. I don't think he likes me very much..." The brunette looked genuinely concerned, and Newt felt rather sorry for him.
