a rainy day like this
should be spent in your arms
with your scent lingering
in my senses
with the light of the dreary sky
making your eyes
the brightest part of my day
with your smile landing on mine
with your lips whispering
sweet random nothing's
in my ear till we both fall asleep
to the sound of drops
hitting the window
and our breathing
as your heart syncopates to mine
