then he vanished
into a sea of flames
he opened his eyes
his lips were moving
but i couldn't hear
tears pooled in my eyes
why couldn't i hear
his sultry voice?
was he leaving this world
and me along with it?
i tried to shout his name
and use my soul as his lifeline
but my helpless voice
would not be heard
"i want to die"
i thought in despair
and just before i threw
myself into the flames
everything vanished into a
bright blinding light...
i woke to a sea of blue
or maybe green or maybe even gray
either way i knew i was okay
and he didn't leave me
i doubted he ever would
