My Little Frozen

Chapter 6

Twilight Sparkle bursted out of the castle door, and much to her shock, her subjects were waiting outside for her. "There she is!" A pony said as the other ponies cheered for her. After she looked behind her to see Sunset Shimmer, Prince Blueblood, Cranky Doodle Donkey, Flim, and Flam folllowing her, she ran down the steps as a pony said "The Princess! It is her!" "Princess Twilight." An unicorn named Party Favor said bowing to her. The terrified princess ducked from him, and through the crowd as a pony said "Our beautiful princess!" Twilight Sparkle was stopped by an earth pony named Mrs. Cupcake who was holding onto her daughter named Pumpkin Cake. While Pumpkin Cake was giggling and reaching out to Twilight Sparkle, Mrs. Cupcake said "Your majesty? Are you all right?" The frightened princess backed away as she muttered "No." She suddenly knocked into a fountain, and grabbed it's edge. The frost spreaded on the edge, went into the water, and froze it. It even froze the flowing water, turning it into an ice sculpture. Everypony gasped in shock and fear. Cranky Doodle Donkey, Flim, and Flam, came out the door, as Cranky Doodle Donkey said "There she is! Stop her!"

"Please, just stay away from me! Stay away!" Twilight Sparkle cried out as ice magic accidently shot out from her hoof, and turned the staircase into ice. Flim, Flam, and Cranky Doodle Donkey was knocked off their hooves from the force of the blast. Cranky Doodle Donkey got up, and said "Monster....monster!" Twilight Sparkle looked at her hoof in fear, and looked at Mrs. Cupcake who backed away with the other ponies as Pumpkin Cake cried in fear. Twilight Sparkle looked at her subjects who backed away in fear." As a snowstorm began, she ran off while Sunset Shimmer who was holding onto her sister's glove, and said "Twilight!" She saw her sister running to the gates to the kingdom, and ran after her with Prince Blueblood following close behind. Twilight Sparkle ran out of the gates, and downstairs to the water's edge when she heard her sister said "Twilight!" She backed up in fear, and she looked down to see the shoreline freezing under her hooves. "Wait, please!" Sunset Shimmer called out from the gates. Twilight Sparkle glanced back at her sister, but turned away as she tentatively stepped out onto the fjord. It froze instantly, and she broke into a run as the water froze over with every step. "Twilight, stop!" Sunset Shimmer called out running after her sister, but she slipped, and fell as Prince Blueblood rushed to her side, and said "Sunset!" "No." Sunset Shimmer muttered as she watched Twilight Sparkle running to the far shore. Once she reached the far shore, she spreaded her wings, and flew away.

"The fjord." Prince Blueblood said in shock as he and Sunset Shimmer looked over to see the ice spreading out until the entire fjord is frozen, locking the ships in place. The rest of the oceans froze, and snow started to fall in Canterlot, Ponyville, Cloudsdale, and more places freezing all of Equestria in an eternal winter. As Sunset Shimmer and Prince Blueblood walked through the panicking crowd, A unicorn pony named Lyra Heartstrings said "Snow." "Snow?" An earth pony named Bon-Bon asked. "Yes, snow!" Lyra Heartstrings said. "Are you all right?" Prince Blueblood asked. "No." Sunset Shimmer said in shock. "Did you know?" Prince Blueblood asked. "No." Sunset Shimmer said. Nearby, Cranky Doodle Donkey fluttered about in fear as he said "Look! It's snowing! It's snowing! The princess has cursed this land! She must be stopped!" He looked at Flim, and said "You have to go after her!" "Wait, no!" Sunset Shimmer said as she rushed up to the donkey duke. Cranky Doodle Donkey ducked behind Flim and Flam and said "You! Is there sorcery in you, too? Are you a monster, too?"

Sunset Shimmer shook her head, and said "No. No. I'm completely ordinary." "That;s right, she is." Prince Blueblood said. Sunset Shimmer glared at the prince about what he said. "In the best way." Prince Blueblood said reassuring Sunset Shimmer who smiled. She turned to Cranky Doodle Donkey, and said "And my sister is not a monster!" "She nearly killed me!" Cranky Doodle said. "You slipped on ice." Prince Blueblood said. "HER ice!" Cranky Doodle said. "It was an accident!" Sunset Shimmer said. "She was scared. She didn't mean it. She didn't mean any of this. Tonight was my fault. I pushed her. So, I'm the one that needs to go after her." "Yes." Cranky Doodle said. "What?!" Prince Blueblood said in shock. Sunset Shimmer looked at the royal handler, and said "Bring me my carriage, please!" "Sunset, no. It's too dangerous!" Prince Blueblood said. Sunset Shimmer scoffed, and said "Twilight Sparkle is not dangerous. I'll bring her back, and I'll make this right." As the royal handler named Colgate pulled up with her carriage, and gave Sunset Shimmer a red cloak with a orange bow on it, Prince Blueblood said "I'm coming with you." "No." Sunset Shimmer said as she got into the carriage. "I need you here to take care of Canterlot." Prince Blueblood nodded and said "On my honor." "I leave Prince Blueblood in charge!" Sunset Shimmer said to the ponies as she put her cloak on. "Are you sure you can trust her?" Prince Blueblood asked. "I don't want you getting hurt."

"She's my sister." Sunset Shimmer said. "She would never hurt me." She then gave Colgate the signal the pull the carriage, and they went out to the Everfree Forest to find her sister. Meanwhile in the mountains, Twilight Sparkle landed on the snow-line, and climbed to the highest peak. She stopped to catch her breath, and looked around. "I can't believe it." Twilight Sparkle said to herself. "I exposed my powers in front of everypony. Even Sunset Shimmer saw it!" She sighed sadly, and said "I'm sorry, father. I tried to keep it in, but I failed." She walked on as she said "You always taught me to conceal, and don't feel it. You even taught me to not let them know. But now, everypony knows." She looked at her glove, and threw it in the air. "But with nopony around to get hurt by me, I can let my powers go!" She said smiling as she created snowflakes in her hooves. She even made Spike, the same snow-dragon she made with Sunset Shimmer when they were fillies. Little did she know as she walked off, Spike came to life, and ran down the mountain.

Twilight Sparkle then raised her hooves, and made more snowflakes fall. "Oh, wow!" She said smiling as she made the snowflakes fall faster. "This is amazing!" She made snow wind on her left, and on her right. "The mountains is where I truly belong. Besides, the cold never bothered me anyway." She said as she let her magenta cape fly back into the wind. As she walked to the edge, she said "You know, it really is funny how some distance makes everything seem small." She looked back, and said "And the fears that once controlled me, and my life can't get to me anymore!" She turned back, and ran to the edge. "Now to make my own castle!" She said as her horn started to glow. She concentrated real hard, and created an ice steps. She ran over to see if the steps would work. She stepped on it, and the ice became solid. Joy poured from her as she ran to the other side, making an ice staircase along the way. "Wheeeee!" She said as she giggled, and reached the other side. "Nopony will ever see me cry now!" She ran to the middle, and slammed her hooves hard, forming a giant snowflake.

In a flurry of creative release, Twilight Sparkle raised the snowflake on ice beams, and built the walls, archways, and an intricate ceiling that leaves the sky visible. "Hmmm. Something's missing." She said as she looked around. "Aha! A chandelier!" She flew up, and created a glistening chandelier with her magic. She landed on the floor, took off her crown, and looked at it. "I'm never going back to Canterlot, no matter what." She said as she tossed it away. "The past is in the past, and it's all behind me." She then let her mane down, and tied it in a braid with crystal-like snowflakes on it, and placed it on her left shoulder. She looked at her coronation outfit, and groaned in disgust. "This outfit will never do." She said. "Let's change that. Something that says 'Sparkles, Crystals, Snow, and Ice.' Hmmm. Aha! I know just the thing!" She then replaced her coronation outfit, with a crystal blue, off-the-shoulder dress, made out of ice with a right knee-high slit, a crystallized bodice, a transparent powder blue sleeves, a long transparent floor-sweeping cape of sheer ice, decorated with large snowflakes, and ice-made kitten heels. She smiled at her new outfit, and said "Now THAT'S more like it!"

As the sun rose into the sky, Twilight Sparkle strutted out onto a balcony she made, and into the light as she said "That perfect mare is gone, and at long last, I'M FREE! And as I said before, the cold never bothered me anyway." She smiled, and turned to walk into her castle as she slammed her ice palace door, so that she could finally live in peace, harmony, and tranquility.
