My Little Frozen

Chapter 16

Everything was quiet until Twilight Sparkle looked up at her frozen sister, and said "SUNSET SHIMMER!" She got up in front of Sunset Shimmer, and touched her frozen face as she said "Oh, Sunset Shimmer...no...no, please, no." She then became even more upset as she hugged her sister's frozen body, and began crying her eyes out. Spike walked up, and saw Sunset Shimmer frozen as he said "Sunset Shimmer?" As Twilight Sparkle sobbed, Sunset Glare and Winona looked on in shock and despair. Spike became saddened, and the ponies watching bow their heads in sorrow. All of Equestria was in somber silence. Suddenly, Sunset Shimmer began to warm up as she began to thaw. Spike looked up, and gasped in shock. Sunset Glare and Winona saw the thawing, and they lit up. All the ice was then melted as the white streak in Sunset Shimmer's mane disappeared, and life and color returned to her eyes. Twilight Sparkle felt movement, and she looked up as she smiled, and said "Sunset?" They hugged each other as Sunset Shimmer said "Oh, Twilight." They stopped hugging as Twilight Sparkle said "You sacrificed yourself for me?" "I love you." Sunset Shimmer said with a smile.

Spike gasped, and said "An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart." "Love will thaw." Twilight Sparkle said. Then, an idea hit her as she said "Love. Of course!" "Twilight?" Sunset Shimmer asked. "Love." Twilight Sparkle said as she flew up in air, and used her magic to raise all the snow and ice in the sky. The ponies watched in awe as the snow and ice was lifted into the air. Twilight Sparkle then made all the snow and ice turn into one big snowflake, and waved it away, leaving only a warm summer day. She then flew back down to a ship that Sunset Shimmer, Sunset Glare, Spike, and Winona were on earlier. "I knew you could do it." As Spike started to melt, he said "Hooves down, this is the best day of my life. And quite possibly the last." "Oh, Spike. Hang on, little guy." Twilight Sparkle said as she used her magic to refreeze and rebuild Spike, and gave him a personal flurry in a form of a little storm cloud. "My own personal flurry!" Spike said as he cheered. They heard a groaning noise, and they turned to see Prince Blueblood struggling to get to his hooves as he tried to recover. Sunset Glare tried to walk up to him in a fit of rage, but Sunset Shimmer stopped him as she said "Uh, uh, uh." She walked over to Prince Blueblood who said "Sunset Shimmer? But, she froze your heart."

"The only frozen heart around here is yours." Sunset Shimmer said. She turned to walk away, but then she grabbed Prince Blueblood, and punched him in the face, sending him overboard, and into the water below as he screamed. The ponies cheered, and Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer gave each other a hug. Sunset Glare smiled at Sunset Shimmer who smiled back. Later that day, the ships began to sail away as one of the pony sailors said "Setting course sir." On one of the ships, Flash Sentry threw Prince Blueblood in the brig, and locked the cell door. "I will return this scoundrel to his country." Flamethrower said. "We shall see what his twelve big brothers think of his behavior." "Canterlot thanks you, my lord." Flash Sentry said. As the canterlot guards led Cranky Doodle Donkey, Flim, and Flam to their ship, Cranky Doodle Donkey said "This is unacceptable! I'm a victim of fear. I've been traumatized." He flinched, and said "Ow! My neck hurts. Is there a doctor I could see? No? And I demand to see the princess!" "Oh, I have a message from the princess." Flash Sentry said as he looked at a scroll. "Canterlot will henceforth and will forever no longer do business of any sort with Trollingham." "Trottingham! It's Trottingham!" Cranky Doodle said as the pony guards dragged him to the ship. "Oh, shut up, Cranky!" Flim and Flam said at the same time while being dragged to the ship by the pony guards.

In the Canterlot Square, Sunset Shimmer led Sunset Glare who was wearing a blindfold over his eyes as Sunset Shimmer said "Come on, come on, come on, come on!" "Ok, here I come." Sunset Glare said as he ran into a pole. "Pole." "Oops. Sorry." Sunset Shimmer said as she helped Sunset Glare. They reached the perfect spot, and Sunset Shimmer said "Okay. Okay. Here we are." She took off the blindfold, and Sunset Glare stared in shock at the new sled, and a bunch of stuff that he had before in front of him. As Winona who was wearing an ice-blue collar with a snowflake on it jumped around the sled, and barked, Sunset Shimmer said "I owe you a sled." "Are you serious?" Sunset Glare asked. "Yes!" Sunset Shimmer said feeling excited. "And it's the latest model." "No. I can't accept this." Sunset Glare said. "You have to." Sunset Shimmer said. "No returns. No exchanges. Princess's orders. She's named you the official Canterlot Ice Master and Deliverer." "What? That's not a thing." Sunset Glare said. "Oh, sure it is." Sunset Shimmer said. "And it even has a cup-holder. Do you like it?" "Like it? I love it!" Sunset Glare said as he twirled Sunset Shimmer in the air, and placed her on the ground. "I could kiss you! I could. I mean I'd like to. I'd...may I? We, me...I mean, may we? Wait, what?" Sunset Shimmer kissed Sunset Glare's cheek, and said "We may." Sunset Glare smiled, and they shared a true love's kiss.

Spike was walking around as he said "Summer!" He spotted some flowers, and sniffed them. He suddenly sneezed, and his dog biscuit nose flew off, and into Winona's mouth. Spike gasped, and Winona sucked the dog biscuit into her mouth. Spike became saddened, but then, Winona placed the dog biscuit on him, and he cheered as he hugged her. At the castle courtyard, Twilight Sparkle smiled as she looked at her subjects, and said "Are you ready?!" The ponies cheered, and Twilight Sparkle stomped on her hooves hard, turning the floor into solid ice. She froze the fountains, and she added some snow flurries to the atmosphere. As the snow fell, the ponies began skating. Sunset Shimmer came slipping in, and Twilight Sparkle caught her. "I like the open gates." Sunset Shimmer said with a smile. "We are never closing them again." Twilight Sparkle said. She then used her magic to make skates on Sunset Shimmer's hooves. "What? Oh, Twilight, they're beautiful, but you know I don't skate." Sunset Shimmer said. Twilight Sparkle pulled on her sisters hooves as she said "Come on! You can do it!" Sunset Shimmer nearly slipped, but laughed with delight. Sunset Glare and Winona skated by as Sunset Glare said "Look out! Dog and pony coming through!" Spike helped Sunset Shimmer as he said "That's it. Glide and pivot and glide and pivot." All was well in Equestria, and the gates at the castle in Canterlot never closed again.
