Chapter 12

As they made their way to the love experts, Spike looked up at the northern lights in the sky, and said "Look, Winona. The sky's awake." Sunset Shimmer started shivering from the cold as Sunset Glare said "Are you cold?" "A little." Sunset Shimmer said. "Wait. Come here." Sunset Glare said as he led Sunset Shimmer to a steam vent to help her keep warm. "Oooh...that's nice." Sunset Shimmer said as they continued on the path, walking from vent to vent. Sunset Glare then took a deep breath, and said "So, about my friends...well, I say friends, they're more like family...anyway, when I was a colt, it was just me and Winona...until they took us in." "They did?" Sunset Shimmer asked feeling moved. "Yeah." Sunset Glare said. "I don't want to scare you, but they can be a little bit inappropriate...and loud...very loud...they're also stubborn at times, and a little overbearing. And heavy. Really, really heavy. But they're fine..you'll get it. They mean well." Sunset Shimmer patted on Sunset Glare's shoulder, and said "Sunset Glare, they sound wonderful." "Okay." Sunset Glare said as they had arrived at the Chaos Village. "Meet my family." He and Winona looked around as he said "Hey guys!" Sunset Shimmer and Spike just stared at Sunset Glare in shock as Sunset Shimmer said "There's nothing there." "He's crazy!" Spike whispered out. "I'll distract them while you run." He straightened himself out, and said "Hi, Winona's family! It's nice to meet you" He looked at Sunset Shimmer, and whispered out "Sunset Shimmer, because I love you, I insist you run." He straighten himself out again, and said "I understand you're love experts." He looked at Sunset Shimmer, and whispered out "Why aren't you running?"

Sunset Shimmer snapped out of her shock, and started backing away as she said "Okay. Um...I'm gonna go." Suddenly a storm started brewing over, and the chaos ponies appeared out of nowhere. "Sunset Glare's home!" Fluttershy said. The other chaos ponies cheered as they said "Sunset Glare! Sunset Glare's home! It's been too long! Sunset Glare's home!" "Sunset Glare's home!" Spike said excitedly. He suddenly stopped himself, and said "Wait. Sunset Glare said. An chaos earth pony named Aloe yanked on Sunset Glare as she said "Oh, let me look at you." Sunset Glare pulled away from Aloe, and said "It's great to see you all. But where's Discord?" "He's napping." A little chaos earth pony colt name Pipsqueak said. "But look, I grew a mushroom!" "And I earned my fire crystal!" Another little chaos earth pony filly named Silver Spoon said. "I passed a kidney stone." A chaos unicorn pony named Claude said. "Pick me up!" A little chaos unicorn named Sweepy Bell said as he jumped on Sunset Glare who said "Wow! You're getting big! Good for you!" Sunset Shimmer smiled as she said "Chaos ponies? They're chaos ponies." The chaos ponies looked at her, and Fluttershy said "He's brought a mare!" The chaos ponies pushed Sunset Shimmer towards Sunset Glare, and Sunset Shimmer said "What's going on?"

"I've learned to just go with it." Sunset Glare said. Fluttershy got a better look at Sunset Shimmer as she said "Let me see. Bright eyes. Working nose. Strong teeth. Yes, yes, yes. She'll do nicely for our Sunset Glare!" "Wait! Oh! Um! No!" Sunset Shimmer said. "You've got the wrong idea!" Sunset Glare said "That's not why I brought her here!" "Right. We're not. I'm not-!" Sunset Shimmer tried to say, but Fluttershy interrupted her, and said "What's the issue dear? Why are you holding back from such a stallion? Is it the clumpy way he walks?" "Oh no. I'm engaged to somepony else." Sunset Shimmer said. The chaos ponies groaned at that, and Fluttershy said "That doesn't sound like true love. So, if we get the fiance out of the way, it will be fixed." Before Sunset Shimmer could say anything else, she felt a sharp pain in her chest as she started hyperventilating, and she started to fall, but Sunset Glare caught her. As Sunset Shimmer started shivering, Sunset Glare said "She's as cold as ice!" Just then, Discord appeared, and said "There's strange magic here!" "Discord!" Sunset Glare said. "Come, come, bring her to me." Discord said as Sunset Glare brought Sunset Shimmer to him. He looked at Sunset Shimmer, and said "Sunset Shimmer, your life is in danger. There is ice in your heart, put there by your sister. "If not removed, to solid ice will you freeze, forever.

Sunset Shimmer gasped in shock, and said "What? No!" "But, you can remove it, right Discord?" Sunset Glare asked. "I cannot." Discord said. "Sunset Glare, I'm sorry. If it was her head, that would be easy. But only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart." "An act of true love?" Sunset Shimmer asked. "A true love's kiss perhaps?" Fluttershy said as the other chaos ponies nodded in agreement. Sunset Shimmer then started shivering again as more of her mane turned white, leaving only a small amount of her colored mane. She collapsed onto Sunset Glare who said "Sunset Shimmer, we've got to get you back to Prince Blueblood." Sunset Shimmer weakly nodded, and said "Blueblood." "Come on, Winona!" Sunset Glare said as he placed Sunset Shimmer on his back. "Come on, Spike!" Spike ran after them as he said "I'm coming! Let's go kiss Prince Blueblood! Who is this Prince Blueblood?!"
