Poetry
Can convey a message from the heart
Lets you say what you want
Whenever
Wherever
Right in that moment
No choking up on the last minute
No getting flustered
Or getting angry
You put those feelings onto the paper
And let them float into others' minds
Hearts
And souls
'Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul'
Was once said by a great poet
It is words like these
That remain with us forever
Because maybe one day we won't be here
Physically
But our words will
Poetry
Could simply describe
One thing
But instead
Move a whole population
You could talk about
Racism
Discrimination
Sexuality
Cliches
And simply mean to express yourself
But one person understands completely
And they tell their friends
Their friends tell their other friends
Those friends tell their parents and siblings
And soon enough you've moved a whole town.

Is a strong thing
And when you've got a gift
For eloquence
Use it
It might come in handy
