It has been 3 months since I got pregnant the doctor scheduled the appointment for us to find out the gender of our baby. It was the next week and it was the day to find out the gender of the baby Bryson called me and asked if he could come so he didn't miss any appointments I told him yea its your child you can come if you want. When we got the doctor's office my mom told Bryson she didn't think she would show up. He said, "This is my child also I am aloud to come with to the appointments if its okay with Kayleigh". Bryson and I told the doctor we didn't want to know so the doctor didn't tell us he wrote it down on a piece of paper and stapled it together and handed it to her. My mom didn't tell me that she was gonna throw a baby shower for Bryson and I but she threw a big one. All of my friends came that my mom invited and all of Bryson's friends came. It was time to find out the gender so we went outside to the stand by the paint can that had the color of the baby. We all made our guesses on what gender the baby is I choose boy and so did Bryson. It was time to find out so I put on a white shirt and closed my eyes Bryson stood behind me and closed his eyes also. He was told to hold out his hands so my mom could color his hands. After that he put his hands on my stomach like a heart and I pressed his hands against my stomach we opened our eyes and removed our hands away.
It's a GIRL! Bryson and I started to cry we didn't expect a baby girl. But Bryson and I are very happy that it's a girl. After the shower was over Bryson pulled out an envelope from his pocket and gave it to me. I opened it and started to cry. He said this is our money so we can get the things we need for our baby girl. My mom drove Bryson and I to Lowes to get the paint for the nursery. We choose a light pink and grey. Then we went to Walmart and got a crib, changing table, a swing, and a travel system. When we got home we went to the nursery and Bryson started to paint it since I can't. When the painting was done and dried we moved the furniture into the nursery. All of the stuff fit perfectly where we wanted it to. Since we got the furniture in the nursery it's time to go back to the store and get bedding for her crib and decorations for around her room. Since we choose a brown crib and furniture I decided we need some darker pink and white in her room. We choose a nursery set that came with the bedding for her crib a mobile and curtains and some things for the changing table. When we got home I put the bedding on the crib and the stuff on the changing table.
Since it's been 3 months since we found out what I we were having Bryson and I went to the store and bought letters for her name to go above her crib and I also bought some little canvas to paint little designs on them to hang in a corner of her room. Her room finally was done and Bryson and I had the name for our little princess. We didn't know if we wanted to do a name reveal party or not but we did. Everybody showed up that Bryson and I invited to come. Everybody had to guess her name before we revealed it. There was only 4 out of 28 people that guessed her name right so we finally told them. Our little princess will be named Jocelyn Brooke! Bryson and I explained why we wanted her name to be Jocelyn Brooke. We chose her middle name because Bryson's great grandmother's name was Brooke and she passed away when Bryson was only 3. We choose her first name because Jocelyn was my great great aunt's name. After the party Bryson and I went out to eat after all of the mess was cleaned up. He took me out to eat at a fancy restaurant since Jocelyn will be here in less than a month away. After that Bryson and I went to a baby place that just opened and bought a hospital bag and the things I may need while we are at the hospital.
