And I'm Left Completely Dismayed.

"We'll hang out tonight okay Kari?" Ricky said as I got out of my car.

"Alright," I said and bid my farewell, shoving my phone into my pocket.

I pulled the door open and walked into work. It was the last day that Motionless was going to be in town. I had made it through a few days of not seeing him. I was grateful.

I went to the back room, put my things in my little locker and pulled an apron over my head. I could hear someone singing MMMbop by Hanson in the front and I grinned. It was one of the newer guys, Evan. Rafe was working with me today as well.

I walked back out to the front. There was almost no one there, besides a few twenty-something's playing on their laptops. I slid onto the counter by the cash register. "Get it Evan."

"This is my jam," he said and continued to sing. I tapped the beep on the counter and laughed. It was going to be a good day.

While Evan was singing, he ended up spilling coffee on the counter. He grabbed some paper towels from the counter and wiped it up. Before he threw the now wet paper towel in the trash, he smiled. "You can't just throw me away."

I smiled as he came over and we made small talk.

"You know what I just realized?" He asked. I moved my head as to say what. "That you have a killer chest piece." I smiled and glanced down at it the best I could. It was the 'Creatures' album cover, with the words 'There's So Much More Inside Us' flowing through it. It was the most painful thing I did, but hey, I was a dedicated fan, and I wanted everyone to know.(I really am going to get that tattooed. I think it'd be cool.) "Oh shit, you know what else? You have hands coming out of your boobs."

I laughed at that and nodded. He smiled and tossled my hair slightly. We continued talking and joking around. I was slightly oblivious to anything and everything that wasn't behind the counter.

"Excuse me," an all too familiar voice said from behind me. I looked at Rafe with panicked eyes. He had an almost apologetic look on his face. I peered over my shoulder slightly and saw what I dreaded to see the most. It couldn't be. I wasn't prepared for this.

A gorgeous face with perfectly drawn eyebrows looked back at me. Why does the lord hate me?
