"What can I get for you?" I asked, jumping off the counter. Maybe he wouldn't recognize me. Ricky didn't the first time he saw me. Please, God, don't let him recognize me. Pumpkin spice latte, I thought to myself.
"Pumpkin spice latte," he said, money already in hand. I pushed buttons on the cash register and took it from him. "Nice tattoos. A friend of mine has some like that." A friend? More like your toy. "Her name was-"
"KARI!" Evan yelled. I looked back and gave him the death glare. He had a wad of paper in his hand. "Watch this." He threw it in the trash can. "Wha-cha, three points. Thank you, thank you, no applause."
I cursed him under my breath. My hands balled up into fists. I wanted to kill Evan.
"Kari?" Chris said, almost shocked. I looked up and met his eyes.
"Hi Chris," I said. That caught Rafe's attention. Chris looked almost as if he didn't believe it was me.
"Gia wants you Kar," Rafe said, coming to save me. "What does he want?"
"Pumpkin spice latte," I said as I ducked back into the back room. I knew Gia didn't really want me, she wasn't even here today.
In my head, I was freaking out. There was so many Starbucks in Dallas, why did he have to come to this one? I pulled my phone out of my locker and pushed number two on my speed dial.
"Hello?" Olivia answered.
"Liv, I need you," I said, even more panicked.
"What's going on?" She questioned.
"He's here."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So that was short but I thought it would be nice for Chris and his face to be in this story about him.(: And, one question, real quick, umm, do you guys know where I can pick up any chugga-chugga-weeze at?(;
